BradFiAusNzCoCaDude gtfo… that is not a reason to replace them. I have had pivots with these issues for years. They still do their job

option 1: buy new pivots
option 2: search for pivot brakes
option 3: fix them/make shift with glue and wrap it in electrical tape to restore its prior size bc i think half fell off.
option 4: who needs brakes? just set the dins to 12 and don't worry.
what do i do
sullivanobrien_option 5: do nothing and have to fuck with them ever single time i'm clicking in.

BradFiAusNzCoCaOption 5 but you won’t be fucking with them. It literally will not be noticeable
sullivanobrien_it's definitely noticeable rn. to be fair they're 95 brake on 98 ski but that really shouldn't be that bad and i have to mess with them 3/5 times probably. on of the plastic bits looks fine but it swivels 180° or so and gets caught. maybe that won't happen on wets because the width difference
junior1derfuloption #4 sounds promising
TRVP_ANGELWhat a jerry thread. Theyre literally fine
sullivanobrien_alright but do they look fine? the plastic shouldn't be up there and it's annoying so i thought i should ask
Poindexter.V295mm pivots on my 108s I think maybe your doing something wrong
kid-kapowman, you are over complicating this. The brakes are not fucked, the plastic bits / stops are.
suggested order of repair.
1) clean said skis. Lubricate the moving parts. Consider implementing this step regularly.
2) slide the fucked remaining part of the plastic stop down and experiment with making a new plastic bit/stop on the end, be it a ball of electrical tape, a modded cap from a pen or whaterver. Find your inner MacGyver - this is not rocket science.
3) see if you can glue / attach both stops so that they do not rotate. If not glue then a smal strip of electrical tape might prevent the rotation
4) I would also suggest that you consider treating your gear like you want it to last, because - you know - then it might just do that. It might not be the cool bro brah way to use a pole to open said bindings, but a ski's metal edges isn't the tool for the job if you want the bindings to last.
Piss_Boydude just get some gorilla glue, that stuff was holding together a split core of mine for like a month. This reminds me of my friends little brother that that finds every excuse in the world to spend money
