Getting away with out of bounds skiing

Any strategies to get away with this? Would it work to just get a lift ticket for the day i try it? or would they find some way to take my pass

weastcoastIt’s not rocket science. I’ve slid across the roofs of resort vehicles, lift gates, electric boxes, busy resort roads, and just about every out of bounds area at my hill. And never got caught once.

colorado_frenchyBit of devil's advocate here, did you ever look at it in the summer? Maybe there is a reason for it to be closed that you are unaware of, that could potentially cause worse consequences than loosing your pass.

I'm not really familiar with East Coast hills, but ski patrol main job is not to be annoying but to secure the mountain, 95% of the time they have a very valid reason to do what they do that you might not realize.

WoFlowzBecause that’s most mtns only freshies. The trees or lift lines. People out west think their hills are over groomed yet here most places groom every inch and the few areas they dont are skied off in half a hour

My point is, the worst case scenario of you doing this isn't that you'll get your pass pulled.

The worst case is you're going mach 10 and hit an unmarked obstacle under the snow that ends your season or worse, AND your pass still gets pulled.

If you want to trust the snowpack (which is nearly 100% man made besides a couple feet annually) go for it.

Just please for the love of god don't duck ropes out west, it's marked off for a reason and people die doing it.

ski_salmon69It’s kind of a tough one to hit because ski patrol tends to hang out on that side of the mountain a lot. But if you wanna do it do it early because on a pow day people start skiing under the liftlines there and ski patrol eventually catches on and waits for people in that area

doubleblackjackI’d hit it if the depth got to 2 feet on the line preferably after some decent natural snowfall

I was planning to try it this last season but the snow wasn’t favorable for it. Some kids still sent it tho



oh and those stats are wrong. The base depth definitely exceeded 4 feet at the base and maybe 3 feet at the summit. We also got around 6-8 inches in a storm.

Drop a glove or something and go retrieve it. then send. prob not gonna prevent getting you in trouble but fuck it. or wait till the very last chair and hide out in the woods till the mountain clears out then send.

ZurgOrrrr, you could give your season pass to a homie and have him hold it and tell him to go a different route down. Of course get another homie to film and drop it. Then they can't take any pass.
