having pride in german engineering does not make you a nazi. It makes you somebody who has pride in german engineering.

and im sorry, but if somebody tells me that people would choose to buy a bag of dog shit instead of a porsche 911 turbo if the dogshit was marketed better than the 911 turbo, then you really cant complain when somebody believes you have a subhuman level of intelligence.

Yes obviously but someone in the other thread claimed that the marketing of a product was more important in determining how well it will sell than the actual quality of the product being sold. The absolute state of idiocy in that post was so severe i couldnt find a better descriptor of the person who said it than having subhuman intelligence.

You're comparing economy cars to a high performance supercar. In that timeframe and in the 90's you would have seen more Ford's than Porsche's on German roads.

We’ve stole a lot of engineers from Germany post war but people sleep on the domestic cars especially Corvettes. Coming from a guy who doesnt own domestics outside of a F150

To answer the question directly, I don’t think anyone is bothered to hear that statement- they are probably annoyed to hear you say it, because it’s probably cherry picked from some alt right propaganda sources.

I would venture a guess that 9 out of 10 Americans believe lawyers are overpaid, and the tenth person is a lawyer getting rich off the courtroom industry. It’s a problem. I can only guess that Germany has limitations on what individuals can sue for or other laws in place that limit compensation compared to their American counterparts. Good for them, So what?

i never saw A SINGLE american car in all my time there. NOT A SINGLE ONE.

I dont know why i never saw a ford or any american car in my time in DE CH and AT in my time there. I saw porsches all over the place in germany though, so i dont know why i didnt see any fords.

i knew fords like the mondeo had a following in england but i dont why ford would have 200k a yr sales in germany besides the same sort of dynamic of how beers like budweiser are considered good import beers in germany.
