Look pivot mounting

So when I got my pivots mounted last season I was told they have a specific drill pattern on the ski itself meaning if you wanted to remount you'd either have to get pivots again or fill in those holes. Is this true? Thinking of selling my skis but want to keep my bindings.

If ur selling ur skis just bring them to a shop to unmount them so they can plug the existing holes

You can literally just unscrew the bindings straight off the ski. Doesn’t need to go to a shop. Just keep the skis dry. The next owner will have the holes plugged when the skis are mounted.

you can also get a pack of plugs for about a nickel. a little wood glue and a hammer and you are all set. just cut off the top of the plug if there is any sticking out about the topsheet

just make sure that any future binding mounts are a few mm away to avoid drilling into an especially weak section of the ski due to the preexisting holes

This is good advice to re-mount skis, but for selling them don't sweat it, strip the bindings off and sell them as is. The future buyer can decide to plug the holes or potentially re-use them.
