NFL 2021-2022 Thread

Preseason kicks off this week with week 1 a little over a month away. Will TB12 take the Bucs back or will Mahomes and the Chiefs get revenge? Or will neither team make the Superbowl and Aaron Rogers gets another ring? Can't wait for the season to kick off.

This is how you know you have football PTSD: You posted this clip and I immediately thought it was going to be the Arian Foster botched call on turkey day against the Texans lol. This is a goodie too. I was a bit young at that time, but I do at least remember one turkey day game at the silverdome vs. the vikings. Have been to soooooo many at ford field. Win or lose, its always fun to get away from family and go watch a game.

The Lions honoring the victims of the Oxford High shooting before the game and throughout it was really great to see. Not to be all cliche like ESPN but yeah, that was a huge fucking win football fans in the state of michigan and for Oxford and other comfy little midwest towns all over that live and breathe sports. I grew up in Lake Orion which is Oxfords rival just down the road and friday nights vs. them were always electric. Football kicks ass dudes.

yeah, im surprised the browns lost last night, almost a pitty loss for big bens last game... chubb got 12 carries and they completely gave up on the run game. Browns easily could have put the steelers in the dirty if they commited to running it more, but instead they gave their QB with one arm who cant throw way too many attempts.

Yeah not sure what was going on with Chubb people speculated he was hurt but so is Baker so why not sit Baker. Idk though as a Steelers fan it was one hell of a way to send Ben off and keep Tomlins no losing season streak alive.

Seeing as its a divisional game that will likely decide who is going to the playoffs, I doubt it would happen, even if the jags won somehow and they could both go if they tied. I've heard multiple sports talking heads say this same shit and its pure fantasy, it would never happen.

Thats just the thing... the dude forces his personality. its a blatantly false persona to stir up controversy and gain attention.

Its not even disney's fault. ESPN might have been the first to really start it with tit-for-tat talking head shows where two guys would disagree on something just for the sake of television... thats the whole point of PTI half the time... They basically mainstream'd todays recreational outrage we see on cable TV.

Gone are the days we tuned into ESPN to watch sportscenter and the day's highlights and sports news... now all we see is forced personalities to try to cater to people they want to target...

I mean it is disneys fault, ESPN used to have decent producing, they talked about sports and sportcenter was really good. Producing of content goes straight to the higher ups, the reason people force their personas so much is because they told to do so, its so blatant and egregious.

Disney's fingerprints are all over ESPN now, its so obvious to me that I can't even listen to their commentators during MNF, its fucking awful. The manning cast is the coolest thing ESPN has done in a decade and they dont produce it (hint, thats why its good).

Its also just what ESPN has done. Disney sucks, but ESPN itself hasnt adapted whatsoever - to the point where disney itself is kinda over it.
