Not sure if I should be sharing this or not, but I was the liaison for UNHs Ski and Board Club. I have since graduated and while not the point of contact anymore, I received this email just now. I hope this is not final and that Saga may make a comeback. I know they have received a lot of flack here on this forum but I have many great memories associated with the brand and always received both great product and customer service.
I spoke to someone about it and there is a chance that Saga can come back but for the foreseeable future it doesn't look good. Really sucks because they had started to bounce back from all the warehouse robbery stuff and then this happens.
Damn, that sucks. Usually little companies partner with bigger corporations for stability. But Saga got shafted instead.
I hope that big conglomerate group can either get their shit together or release Saga to become independent or become part of a better supply chain organization. I'd hate to see Saga go dark forever.
Thank you Saga. Thanks for hooking up little park rat groms from like myself back in the day. Got tons of great swag from you guys over the years. Greatly appreciated! Even started seeing mormon kids in the valley who don't ski rock your shit too. Respect.

Over the last decade, I've worked to collect the iconic suits to archive. They're still safe including Durtschi's EDIAS suit that was never produced, the first hand-sewn suit, a few experimentals, and multiple Beaver Fur/Scuba suits.

@jerm sorry for exposing you (even though the article Twit wrote kinda did too). You and I corresponded a few times as I was the liason at UNH. You seem like a very genuine dude who just loved to work for a great brand. I’m sorry to hear about this ordeal and I genuinely hope that Saga may someday stage a comeback. My first ever kit was total Saga, and I buy a piece or two from you guys every year because no one makes anything that looks like Saga products. Thank you for sticking with it and for being a big part of a brand that I hold very dear.
I've still got an old red Angus tee from maybe 2010 in solid condition. It'll have to make at least one appearance next year. Hopefully Saga doesn't go the way of Siver Cartel.
I still have mad saga shit I ordered from the spring sale a few years back I need to sell. Covid made it kinda not worth it because people didn't want to meet up for a bit. Worst case ontario I rock a different kit every day and they cant ban me from the mountain for being obnoxious.

Also as far as saga im still rocking my plaid hoodie jacket the last 6 years ish. Thing is beat up but its my favorite. I hope it holds on a little longer. I think i still have another on a different color but sometimes you like the thing that you wear.
