Urban Follow Cams

Hard agree, follow cams are really something that originated in skateboarding and I love to see it in ski videos as well. It's so hard to do in the street, but Milbocker pulled it off really well in Hornbeck's Realski as well as Jake Strassman in one of LJ's.

The true gem of street is flatground tricks in a line with a follow cam. Pretty sure LSM and Mango are the only ones I ever remember seeing do it.

PeteMahnFirst in the past 3 years there's been more street content dropping and it's starting to get more consistent which is dope. Full parts and movies/ projects are exactly what skiing needs. That being said urban follow cams will always be something we need more of and this iconic shot in 5 to 9 By HG Skis is money. Skip to 4:38, The follow shot is perfect and is one of the best example's of an urban style follow. Technically he's not right behind him/ following him as the filmer's parallel to the skier but you get the point; it's still a moving sequence style shot. The opener in Hackel's real street part is also a perfect example.

Yeah that movie slaps; Franchino's part is so sick. As other's have posted X Games parts have had some solid follow cam's in them. Mike Hornbeck's part definitely stood out.

With this 2 year project HG solidified themselves as the dopest out. everyone's skiing was on another level. filming by Liam McKinley and John Hayes was nothing short of masterful. And the editing by Charlie stemen elevated this from a video of great skiing to a film that truly encapsulated how these guys viewed their worlds within street skiing.
