Help with my quiver

6'2 175lbs
Big bear is my closest mountain so I'm skiing park 90% of the time.
Usually go to mammoth a few times a year / want to do a Vancouver ski trip this winter / need something for a bit of soft snow

I have just purchased nomad 95s for park
I also have 189 106 Vishnu Wides pre ordered.

My question is do you think this is a good setup for my needs?
Do you think I'll appreciate having two sets of park skis or is there too much overlap here?

Should I sell the wides when I get them and buy something like reckoner 112s instead?

My only issue with the wides is being too soft for all mountain/big mountain and tighter lines. Also, in heavier snowpack days (like the west gets sometimes) they get bounced around a lot. But you can still use them. Idk I don’t think it’s a bad setup but there are other skis you could use depending on what you’re looking to do. If you don’t have any complaints, I don’t see any issue.

U probably shoulda swapped the models and used a pair of Icelandic’s for all mountain and Vishnu’s for the park. Vishnu is made as a park ski and nomads are vice versa. I didn’t pay attention to what u said ab lengths but if they’re the same length then just use them for the opposite discipline

Nomad 95s is a steeze set up for park app the coolest people in CO rock that set up. No idea on Vs but probably fun if you try and apply your “park” skiing to “big mountain.” If you want to open it up a bit more making aggressive turns through the shovels then something like a moment wildcat may work better, but could also feel stiff and awkward at first.

shit dawg you coming to vancouver? Grouse had a great park and good community imo my fav mountain of all 3 hmu when your around

also its sometimes rare to get very soft snow like boot deep poweder. Cypress snow is heavy as shit and rains quite a bit, i dont know much about seymour and grouse doesnt have the longest runs but best park

Sweet yeah I’ll hit u up next winter! I’m curious why people are saying the nomad 95 for all mountain? I thought a bunch of people ride em for park, and the swing weight is so low that I’m figuring they’ll be better for learning tricks / more stability on jumps than the wides?

yeah i agree that nomad has a low swing weight and they might be better for learning tricks but i think you got like the wrong skis for what you want to do. I think if you got something like a nomad 105 for all mountain and vishnu + for park would be a better idea. Cause vishnus is a mainly park focused ski while nomad is advertised all mountain

but in the end its probably preference people have different opinion and at the end of the day they're both great skis for park

Reckoner 112s. They're fun in softer snow and then you can rip em at mammoth AND then they're also super fun in slushy park at Bear.

I know that if I was still at home down in Big Bear and not up here in Washington I'd be skiing the 112s all the time. I ski them all the time anyways but I'd still be skiing them all the time down there. :)
