think it’s called a broken slide,

It looks like half a goal-tendy (where both knees are bent in). It’s a very Allen Lam-esque trick, kinda reminds me of the royal slides and other weird grinds he did.

It's a Broken Grind or Broken Slide, don't see many people do them anymore but it was a definite thing back in like 2009 - 2010

Depends on the swap, but I mostly agree, would rather see a long stylish slide or press than a thousand swaps on a rail.

Never understood why skiing called it a broken grind when Fahrvergnugen was on the table from blading...

Charles Gagnier who was the only person doing them on skis for a while called it broken.

full torque aka "farv" is not the same, abm does a real one in his real ski 2019 and you are on the downhill edges of both skis.
And yeah "fahrvergnügen" is a dumb asf name and this is coming from someone who can speak German

Broken is a close to a full torque as most of us will ever get on skis though, not many brave enough to dig that front downhill edge in on skis

I'm just stuck in my ways with it being called a "farv", been a blader since 1996, it only really started getting called a full torque rather than a farv in the 2000's as far as I can remember. Dumb (like most trick names) or not it's stuck in my brain
