Replying to I might be trippin but I think I’m on to something.
Now I’m pissed off cuz I typed out half of this and my app froze and restarted. Recently I read a thread from skiblade420 about him and his dream. He was saying how in the dream all of a sudden he was super good at skiing and was able to throw dubs n shi. He was saying how in the dream he knew exactly what he was doing and that it was super natural. Realized I’ve had many dreams like this, a lot of the time I’ll find myself at pc chuckin dub 14 blunts and stuff with full control. Same as skiblade I knew exactly what I was doing in the dream and everything felt super natural. I knew how to rotate and had great air awareness and everything. Most recent one was about a couple nights ago. For some backround info I’m pretty shitty with jumps I can do 3s and 5s with ease but that’s about it. Anyways in the dream I was at keystone rippin the outback with my dad. And we were going down this pretty steep run and I saw a 3-4 foot Boulder so I cut over to hit it and chuck a fat 3. But once I took off from the Boulder I got wayyyy more air than what I planned on (like 25 ft off the snow) and my 3 instantly started rotating more where I kinda twisted around to make it a 720 and then last second I pulled it to switch for a 9. And I was like holy shot how tf did I do that it felt so natural like it was something I already learned. When I woke up I remembered exactly how it went down and what it felt like. And now I’m pretty confident I could go out a throw a nine on a sizeable booter. I still remember the air awareness and the timing and that tradition from the first three to the second three. It just all seems very doable now. So here’s why I’m writing this thread, for over a year now I’ve been telling my homies that I want to start lucid dreaming, for those of you who don’t know that’s when you are in a dream but you’re mind is conscious and you understand that you are in a dream. You can even control things that happen in your dreams if you practice (assuming you aren’t a natural lucid dreamer) and I’ve been to scared to do it because lucid nightmares and sleep paralysis are a possibility and I’m a pussy and hate scary stuff. But I’m thinking that if you learn to lucid dream, within the dream, you can go where you want, choose the park feature you want, and ride it. With knowing that you are dreaming, you can then try tricks that scare you or don’t really make sense with minimal risk. And kinda bringing it back to my own personal dreams I was speaking about, you can gain an understanding of what it’s like to throw the trick and feel the rotating and the body movement to reach for the grab or practice spotting your landing before you come down. And you might be like, “Keagan that’s bullshit you’re fucking stupid that will only make you think you know what you are doing causing you to get hurt when you try it in real life” but, there was a dude I don’t remember his name, popular YouTuber who did surfing shit but was also super into lucid dreaming, and he said he was never able to do dubs when he would go cliff jumping. He started going cliff jumping in his lucid dream and would chucks dubs and feel what it’s like to do that trick and get the timing and everything. Couple days later he tried the dub backing off a bridge still remembering what it was like in the dream and absolutely crushed it. So what do you guys think? Could this be something that actually works or am I stupid and should shut my mouth and go home.
