sharpskiCan you even travel to NZ right now?
ThaLoraxOnly if you're an Aussie. But there's nothing wrong with planning!
ThaLoraxRemarkable have some sickkkk terrain and a good park. Mt Hutt is kinda boring if the snow isn't great, but has some good lines when the snow is there. Craggieburn and Broken Arrow nearby Mt Hutt are where it's really at. Just be ready to get fucked up by the rope tows/nut crackers. Riding ski fields is very different from skiing developed resorts. Mid spring (their mid spring) is a great time to go to any of the mtns.for
theabortionatorBeing me back a pie pleaseeee! churrr!
DingoSeanI went to Hutt a year after we were there and it was fucking mean sick. We were just there on a dry ass year. The next year was all-time
I also recommend the club fields if you can... I know its not on the Ikon pass.. but its really the coolest, most unique skiing experience you're going to get in NZ
Also if you can, go to Treble Cone. Rad terrain.
EPfanboyJust had a pie, so yummy
theabortionatorMad jealous!!!
Apparently there's a place near mammoth that has them. I have an Aussie friend that lives near tahoe and hes gone a few times. Would have picked me up some but i wasnt around.
Cant believe more places dont have them. That shit would catch on hard I think. If i was better at cooking I'd open up a spot. Not even a full bakery. Just do pies. Id kill for even a mediocre one right now.

EPfanboyAlways surprises me that other countries dont have pies
BradFiAusNzCoCaBecause a lot of places would do them poorly. Can you imagine a stale, non buttery crust pie from a gas station?
I had to eat pre-packaged pies during corona at Charlotte pass (corona sanitary protocol??). They blew.
theabortionatorI'm not talking about a gas station. There are all kinds of different restaurants with all linds of different foods, flavors, foods from different countrys.
I don't know why more places don't make pies. Seems like the few places in the states that do have decent business and some are able to charge way too much for them.
The place i worked in NZ had pre packaged pies. I didnt mind then. We would get anything that didnt sell for free at the end of the day. Kept me fed
ThaLoraxMy ex I dated in NZ (who is a cook) wanted to open a Pie chain in the US. She would have killed it.
