this has always been the conundrum for me. Way more powerful sense of taste/smell, yet will still eat shit from another animal hurl it back up and eat the hurl.

I think some dogs are more shameless than others. None of my dogs would ever eat shit or even eat a dead fish on the dock. Sometimes they would roll in something smelly but thats it.
