Replying to Week ruined... kinda?

yesterday me and my friend went up to the decent sized snow patch at superstar on killington and we planned to build up a nice flat tube with a big wide lip to learn tons of stuff on before transitioning to the summer setup in the next few weeks. we had built the base for the pvc tube to sit in and were about to salt it and begin building the lip, but a man in a red truck shows up and begins walking toward us, i suspected he was going towards the airbag m-snow setup next to the patch of snow but he came towards us. he told us we can’t build a park but that we can ski it, and i tried to walk down to talk to him but he just said to take it down now and left. we began to instead build a kicker in hopes that would be okay but eventually we see a red truck come right back up the road and he walked up to get mad at us again, he actually let me talk to him this time. he said it was a liability issue to build features but that we can ski it no problem. we skied it a little and hit the less than half built jump that i could barely 3 but it was super tiring and boring. we ended up resorting to trying to do flips in our normal boots and sliding down on our asses but it wasn’t any less tiring to walk up that distance. eventually two dudes show up and they’ve got skis and a bunch of stuff, including shovels, we told them what happened to us when we tried building and they didn’t seem worried. they built a little jump and they hit it quite a few times. i eventually threw my ski stuff back on and hit it too. the red truck guy never came... i saw him go past going away from us but he didn’t stop or say anything. at about 4 we decided we would try the rail one more time. i stuck the broken end in the snow as hard as possible and made it a canon rail. we salted it heavily so it wouldn’t break out of the snow and hit in for about an hour and a half no issue. turns out we built it behind a tree blocking the camera from seeing it at all. at like 5:30 another guy came with a pvc box and wooden lip and made a nice down box rail thing. nobody got mad at him either (although the bike park was closed at that point so he probably left).

i know the guy was just doing his job but what i don’t get it why he only got mad at us for doing it when other people also did it. and why is it a liability to hit a pvc rail but not ski down a sketchy patch of snow at mach 3? i would’ve learned swaps 100% if he had never existed i wanted to try a whole list of tricks and i had a few song ideas picked out for a little edit. it ended up being so short i had to include clips from last weekend (doing the same thing) and it was still 40ish seconds. the best thing i managed to do was a blind 2 and that was after the gopro died.....
