Stoked to finally make it after all these years! Also stoked because going to hang out with kevtron in sheridan and then when i head up north hit some of those new evergreen skateparks across Montana.
Been meaning to plan a trip out there, it's not too bad a drive. Maybe one of my wed/Thur "weekends" coming up I'll go for a couple days. June 9 and 10 look good

Seems to depend on the year but I think they're only open for a month/ month and a half it seems.
They have their closing day listed for July 5th this year.
went up for opening weekend and it was pretty sick fairly low snow year a couple of workers said they weren't sure if they were going to build a park but the cornice was super sick in the morning but as the heat came conditions were a little sketchy so we just lapped the controlled part of the cornice and got some pretty good hits off of the rocks

Damn. Was gonna see if they needed any help throwing some features in. All good though I'm happy ro make some turns and hit some smaller drops.
I should be there in the next few days. On the ND MT border atm.

That might still be good. Def closed within a month though. Didn't sound like they had as much snow as other years. 2 weeks seems safe, 3 it could go either way. Also depends if it freezes which it hasn't been

There should still be some decent skiing even if the ski area is closed. Depends on you but could def still be worth the trip to camp a bit and get some turns.

based on my 4 whole days of experience there last year, i think there is some on the wyoming side of the summit? just drive the highway and there should be some snow in between the switchbacks
also i remember seeing some tech chutes leading down to the road on the montana side but i did not have the balls or motivation to find the approach

Those techy chutes are on rock creek head wall and they’re pretty fun. The approach is nice. Just a hike across the tundra. There’s also some lapable chutes on the Gardner head wall but those require a bit more of a hike out.
