Who else into going barefoot? either on hikes or just around, I started barefoot hiking at the end of last summer and it was an amazing experience, nothing compares to feeling so connected to the earth and feeling where you are fully

Exact reason I hike in tennis shoes and live in crocs, I like to feel what's there plus boots give me blisters

I don't do barefoot, but I have been wearing minimalist sandals for like a year now and I feel like my feet have gotten so much stronger

Also walking bearfoot it makes you slow down and take in the scenery a bit more, went for a little hike at one of my favorite parks in town today and saw so many cool mushrooms and bugs and plants on the side of the trail

My gfs dad doesn’t wear shoes, he said it was something he used to do as a kid when he got anxious and now everyone knows him as the no shoe guy so it’d just be too much effort to go back

Maybe I'm a bitch, but my trails are granite rocks and pine needles all kinds of sharp painful stuff. I walk barefoot all over the pavement and grass around my apartment, but every time I've given barefoot hiking a chance I can't make it 100 feet before something stabs into my feet. I respect you barefooters but I just can't do it

I walk around barefoot as much as I can like at home and stuff. I just switched to minimalist shoes (Xero is the brand) and my running shoes are the "zero drop" variety from Altra. The minimalist shoes are great except for when Im standing still at work. In the summer I wear sandals pretty much all the time except for at work obviously

It's flip flop szn for sure, idk bout pure barefoot tho. The only downside is my feet flatten out a ton then skiboots are pain for the first few days

I am being 100% honest. I know nobody will believe me but that's ok. A months back it snowed and there were wet foot prints in the library. I see him all the time rocking no shoes.

I ski barefoot. Just epoxy my foot to the ski works crazy good. I feel so connected to the snow. Especially on cold days. No more boot issues.

I walk around campus barefoot and only put shoes on to go in buildings
