Having not received 2nd and 3rd stimulus check

basically my mom didn’t get her 2nd and 3rd stimulus and me getting my skis is dependent on that because she owes me a bit of money and it’s a long story. did anyone else not get theres and if so what did you do exactly to get it. i looked it up a bit it and i tried some stuff and it didn’t work... don’t make fun of my mom just help me please. i don’t really want to make this thread but you guys are the most helpful and least helpful group of people i can ask. only have until end of july. theoretically i should make more than enough from working but i’m spending some to go skiing one more time this weekend.

When you file there's an option where you can claim you didn't get a stimmy, then you'll get it with a return if you get one.

I'm going to guess she makes enough to qualify for it given that she got the first. If she didn't get the first, there's likely a few reasons why.

Do you know how she got the first? Was it direct deposit? Was it a check?

If it was the former, the next two should automatically be deposited into the same account the 1st was put into.

You can check the status of checks here (I believe):

https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof-wmsp/login

I'd advise her to use that (on a safe computer) to see the status of the check(s).

As mentioned above, if she filed her taxes (on time) then there should have been an option to report her not having gotten her 2nd and 3rd stimulus checks.

If none of the above work, the best bet is for her to spend some time on the phone with 800-919-9835.

My family qualified for the first but not second or 3rd idk how it happened but oh well maybe cause my mom quit her job at the hospital like a month and a half before the first but found a new job before the second and 3rd

You snooze, you lose, she needs to get on it asap, have her or do mom a favor and Google something like "didn't get 2nd and 3rd stimulus checks" and investigate what all to do to speed up the process. Good luck

The income phase out was effectively higher for the first because it was a bigger check. The 2nd check was only 600 bucks so if a single earner made even barely over 75k they were pretty much not getting anything - then the 3rd check was Biden’s he gave 1400 to make it “technically” another 2000 if you combine 2 and 3, but for those that we’re getting reduced checks because of income they got phased down twice for 2 and 3 compared to the first.

Go stand outside of Home Depot and hold a sign saying “cheap American laborer”.
Be honest when people ask about you skill set but I’m sure someone would pay you for some demolition work under the table. Just wear a long sleeve and mask if they tell you to pull insulation (pink ichty shit).

this and this OP. also idk the situation but maybe take it easy on your mom if she's strapped for cash, there are more important things than new skis!

My first stimmy came as a check in the mail, but the second two came as actual direct deposits. (Not sure why, I didnt change anything) Maybe have her take a look at her bank statements to make sure they didnt actually get dropped?

definitely but its just that its my money and she said id get it back a while ago and we aren't starving. pretty sure my skis are gonna snap next time is use them anyways.

getting an actual job is stupid at 14 you can barely work. i just mow lawns. and for the 100 th time she’s not paying for them she just owes me money
