Got my 2nd vac yesterday I’ll put my thoughts on it in a timeline OP
—during vac development- I was against it and afraid, be it zombii, cancer in the future, or a way for the ELITE to wipe out 70% of the population for their own needs, I’ve also never had a flu vac but once and it made me sick, very sick, but I’ve never had the flu
—after the trials I was like well wait and see who becomes a zombi ......or wtf ever
—-as things got worse and trials produced data I was just like well maybe it’s better maybe not well see
—when they weee first released I was glad not to be a test dummy
—as time continued I decided I probably wouldn’t get it, I believe I had Covid, I had a stuffy nose once
—when they announced adults could get it around 4/19 or whatever, I was thinking, well, I’ll be my families test dummy, and I didn’t wanna spread it or get it and die, still wasn’t full trust but I did it and had a sore arm and dry boogies which was excruciating
—got my 2nd vac yesterday my arm hurts like fuck , kinda dizzy, 0 sleep, incredibly volatile and angry I considered sabotage by crashing my dump truck into another tri axle ln, thought about just parking mine in the road and being like fuck u, I’m sooooo sick of range driving up and down my road in caravans of 6 in both directions every 40 minutes, but I’m mad at the company not the truck driving individual, and the dipshits who approved this, so I’m gonna take my Audi with army trix exhaust and just circle the fucking township district manager Dick heads home at 7k rpm every night til this shit ends 🤬🤬🤬
so like if ya wanna get it do so, if ya don’t then don’t idc, I hope no one gets sick, but I’m not gonna accost someone for not doing so, but if ya don’t then expect some may not wanna be around ya , and who knows where the rules and laws r gonna go, I don’t wanna be excluded from events , border crossing etc, I just wanna enjoy my life and if this vaccine makes me a zombi well fuck it I’ll be skiing undead, my urge to ski will vastly surpass my urge to eat people and I won’t have to worry about the cold or sending big shit I’ll already be dead

As a non-American the whole "vaccine might be an evil scheme by the government" just sound like one of those qanon flat earth conspiracy theories. I get that the government has done some questionable things in the past but not getting vaccinated and still expecting to live life normally is just stupid. There's no way that the people refusing the vaccine are going to wear masks and social distance either meaning that people who physically can't get the vaccine and have weak immune systems are going to have to avoid large gatherings for the rest of their lives. Maybe more people will get their vaccines once they realize other countries won't let them in unless they're vaccinated. Seriously though I have no issue with people not getting vaccinated as long as they don't pose a health risk to others.

When I get a dummy telling me conspiracies about vaccines, I tend to explain how a mRNA works and finish with how this the biggest breakthrough in medicine since sterilization. I do go as far as claiming that this technology could cure cancer.

In my personal life I find people who have not gotten the vax are not worried about some government take over thing, but more worried about the unknowns related to the vaccine or just weighing pros and cons and choosing to pass on it. They feel the known and possible unknown side effects outweigh the benefit of the vaccine. My mom for example got the first dose of Pfizer, felt weird, and decided a second dose wasn't worth an additional 10% of protection. Have a friend who is worried about fertility, something that has not really tested yet, so they are waiting. Stuff like that is more why people are not getting the vaccine.

Actually, if people like you aren't vaccinated you won't. We don't know exactly how much of the population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity for covid but measles is another highly infectious disease and it requires 94% immunity. A portion of the population already can't get vaccinated due to health reasons so that leaves very little room for healthy people to decline the vaccine. The US is only 37% fully vaccinated and vaccination rates are going down every week. The US will probably be the last first world country to achieve herd immunity (assuming its vaccine hesitancy miraculously disappears).
Idk I’m 15 and just got mine a few days ago didn’t even have a sore arm. 2nd one is supposed to be the one that knocks you on ur feet for a day or 2 from what I’ve heard. I’ll take my chances with a vaccine compared to possibly ending up in a hospital on a ventilator like my grandparents
Okay - so to be brutally honest it is the person's choice whether or not they get a vaccine. There are pros and cons that may weigh heavier on the con side for some people and making that choice based upon the evidence is totally respectable.
What I do not respect is the whole microchip, government control arguments to not get the vaccine. It's like when your mom tells you to brush your teeth because its healthy for you and you don't do it just because she said to.
I got the vaccine back in December and aside from mild side effects for a day or two after, I've been fine.
I had COVID in March 2020 and I still have respiratory and cardiac issues stemming from it over a year later. In my opinion, I'll take a couple days of aches and fatigue if it means I don't get COVID (well again lol).

I dont trust the fact that these vaccines are an experimental mRNA therapy drug that has not actually been approved by the FDA. For instance Moderna has been working on these drugs since 2010 but have not gotten a single drug FDA approved due to safety until COVID-19.
I think the whole situation is suspect. We have labs doing dangerous genetic research with viruses to make them more deadly. Especially labs in China with poor safety protocols like the one in Beijing that leaked SARS twice. Then something escapes and instead of owning up to it we have this whole media dog and pony show over it and they expect us to blindly trust them on the supposed cures.

I got my first shot yesterday because I want to go back to normal life, but I think it's completely understandable not to want it. I believe the vaccine is safe, but pharmaceutical companies aren't very trustworthy and most people will be totally fine if they get covid.
