I need help

I don’t have a whole lot to add but boot packing all the way to the top off chair 6 on a powder day was the hardest thing i have ever done

The bottom line is ger some sort of a touring setup don’t try an boot pack everywhere by the time your up you will be to tired to ski

if I were you i’d start off with a pair of daymakers to see how you like the whole touring thing then you can always upgrade in the future

You should get kingpins. They’re a sweet touring binding and definitely sendy enough to use for resort days as well.

Get two setups if you want to tour. Skiing any pin binding in the resort is actual ass and you’ll break all your touring gear skiing it hard in bounds so it’ll be more expensive anyway. Also reckoner102 will still be a ton of fun on a wide variety of days / conditions you’ll have there.

i got the jeffs and they’re pretty good, my setup makes them heavy as shit though

Moment Deathwish is a super sick ski. Mine have CAST and are definitely light enough to tour with (especially light baker touring). The triple camber is no joke, it skis like a 120mm ski when you want it to, and a 100mm ski when you want to carve. Honestly my favorite ski ever.

Look into the volkl revolt 104, being an east coast park skier that’s stubborn I’ve always hated how all volkl’s felt to ride until trying this one out and it’s probably my favourite ski of all time. Twin tip, lots of rocker and some camber underfoot, semi lightweight and playful. Everything you need really

The reckoners 102 is a pretty good choice for everything in bound-wise. If you are looking to access sidecountry id get a lighter touring setup (CAST/Shift/Dukes) instead of trying to make it all under 1 ski quiver. Your choice of skis are pretty simple as well. In fact, I had a chat with a Freeride World Tour Champion Isaac Freeland on what he rode and he said he was able to make the whole mountain his playground with the skis that he's on. His skis preserves its playful nature while improving its ability to hold up to the highest speeds and largest airs on the mountain. I've had a thought, my Reckoners would probably be good for most days, so would it be more worth it for me to get a more powder focused ski?
