So lately ive been really interested in how different types of wood act as a core for skis. Ive looked at a few diagrams of all the layers of ski construction, and im wondering why do they add all of the different layers of metal and plastics? Wouldnt it possibly make the skis feel damper with an all wooden core? Also do softer skis like wets and blends have all of that stuff in them?
