Thinking about the grizzly bear scene from the movie “the edge”

Bc he’s un afraid ! Loved how his intellect trumped everyone I connected with his character as a teen. I love wilderness survival movies.
Far as your ? About are their bears out there like that, idk, I’ve stumbled upon bears before, never had an issue but I was hiking not camping... no food, no blood, probably wasn’t feeding season, I always fantasized I could kill a bear like AH did in the edge, but fuck idk, ski poles break east so I’d probably end up crushed.

DolansLebensraumI was watching grizzly bear hunting videos, and it seems like most brown bears run away when they get shot, and its kind of sad to see them get killed because they are just minding their own business and wouldnt harm humans even if there was a confrontation.

But when hunters go like way up north to areas where there are literally no people for hundreds and hundreds of miles, it seems like there may be brown bears that are so fucking zero fucks given that they will hunt people and eat them without a second thought, like the giant grizzly in the movie “the edge”. One video shows a grizzly getting shot and charging towards the hunters after getting shot, which seemed very different from the normal grizzly bear reaction and kind of scary.

So my question is, are their areas in alaska and canada that are so buttfuck remote that there are indeed true man eating grizzlies roaming around the hills?

Fuck that. If i ever go into bear country im just gonna have a benelli supernova pump action with slugs. Ive just been watching videos about the timothy treadwell (grizzly man) guy who left the audio on his camera running when him and his girlfriend were dismembered and eaten alive by a grizzly bear. The audio from the tape has never been released to the public and has only been listened to by a few ppl who say its the most awful thing they have ever listened to.

Yeah. The idea of being hunted by a 2000 pound grizzly when you are hundreds of miles from the nearest person and you dont have a gun is insane. Its like being in a shipwreck far from shore and waiting for oceanic whitetips to eat you. Its almost like a primal feeling that connects you to your early human ancestors who used to get eaten by saber tooth tigers and giant shortfaced bears and dire wolves. Also apperently in australia the aborigines used to get eaten by this komodo dragon type lizard that looked like a 200 pound komodo dragon except it weighed 4000 pounds. Almost like a modern day dinosaur those guys had to fight. Pretty crazy.

This video shows a pretty large bull shark unprovoked attack a spear fisher and the guy shoves his spear down the throat of the shark and pulls the trigger. I love the “oh no what did i do” victim expression on the sharks face when it realizes it made a mistake to fuck with the human. Bull sharks are pieces of shit tho. You can see in the video the body language of the shark shows how its thinking it didnt deserve what happened to it.

I think you can be an animal conservationists and still hate certain species with a passion.

bull sharks and jellyfish can go extinct for all i fuckin care.

There was a story of a grizzly in a not so remote area of Montana where it began hunting people by looking for tents and then dragging people out at night and eating them. There were a bunch of victims I think. They caught the bear buy disguising a live trap as a tent.

its a pretty amazing movie. I think my fav aspect of the movie is how in the beginning they are at the lodge and anthony hopkins friends pull a prank on him for his birthday by having one of them put on a bear costume to scare him. At that point in the movie the grizzly thing is just a joke. But once they get stranded in the wilderness when their plane crashes in the middle of nowhere, soon afterwards the grizzly thing goes from a joke to being a dead serious life or death thing.
