I used to have a huge quicksilver hoody that felt like it was made out of the same material oven mitts are made from. I used to wipe out skating and it wouldnt even hurt falling on concrete.

Haha no way I've also got a huge quicksilver hoodie and it's pretty thick as-well, though not to the point of being oven mitt material.

Burlap is the stuff cloth potato bags are made of. It's really coarse fabric with an open weave. It's not what you're thinking about.

I have some kind of sickies jacket that does a good job of taking the edge of skating falls. Only good or cold weather skating though.
