the answer I give whenever asked what length for skis: the longer the better. If you’re over 5’ 10”, there’s no reason to be afraid of 189s. ESPECIALLY super rockered super soft 189s
back when I bought my first vishnus in 2017 I was basically the only guy who had them so I felt really cool and special! :) but now lots and lots of people are buying them so I don't feel like a special cool guy anymore...
my enjoyment of skiing is 100% dependent on how cool 13 year olds think I am, so can you guys please stop being posers and buying vishnus so that I can feel special and unique again? thanks

I hate when people go after the longer ski just for the look over functionally. Sure, 5 foot 9 Joe Smith is gonna look cool on 189, but part of looking good is actually being able to control your sticks. Instagrams gonna be flooded with short kids next season on 189s that can't move the ski well under their feet, and its gonna be fucking awesome to watch.
this only really applies to people sizing way out of range. Im all for the 5'10+ going 189 or size up concept. Jus not you little 5'6 short kings out there or sumn

I completely get what your saying dude I was looking for either a pair of Vishnu wets or magnus 90 in a 186 but I got a deal on a pair of wets in 183 so I was like alright word I’ll go for those two fucking weeks after I see on Vishnu’s insta 189 like dude that’s what I was fucking looking for and I get it you see the little shits (I got nothing against short people btw) but they got there pair a 189 and they can’t fucking move there legs it’s straight dumb like sizing up is sick I love riding longer skis but don’t fucking buy a pair that are a full two feet taller then you like be smart and yea longer skis got style do them but know what you can ride and what actually works for you

189 is already played out, wait for next years 210 if you want to be core
