Hi all, I am not the best at "breaking the ice" in conversations. What are some tips you use to help you be more sociable or comfortable in day to day conversations?

If so, add to conversation but always ask the questions and let the person your conversing
with talk. That will at least edge you into more socal situations and the more you do it the less questions you'll ask and the more
talking you'll do.
shorty_TThat is great advice! Sometimes I panic and don't know the right questions to ask. Example: seeing an acquaintance at the grocery store and they make eye contact. Is quick "small talk" rude?
little1337My dad always said ask questions about the other person, people love to talk about themselves. If they seem like duds and aren't giving me anything to work with, sometimes I'll just go on tangents and talk about kind of random stuff. It's better to change the conversations direction than to let it die
