sullivanobrien_i just need something that can be out all year and not break with skis slamming into it 24/7
Chrischi69I think they had sch 40 cause i had some of the thin stuff and it broke so i looked specifically for sch 40 or something around that
Jemscheck out legit PVC distributors they will most likely have affordable thicc pipes
isaacwrongBuying this shih bn is going to set you back a few hundred...best bet is to reach out to local construction companies or craigslist/facebook. Quick search says a guy has some in NH. You mentioned you live in Castleton? Me and a homie ended up reaching out to Belden Co in Rutland when I lived there. They hooked us up with some free pipe in which they just had a huge stock pile of scraps, be nice when reaching out tho.

sullivanobrien_i sent an email to belden and checked out the listing but it’s about a 100 mile drive and my parents definitely aren’t going for that
skiP.E.I.The PVC part of the rail in the pic below was I think $60 at Home Depot in Canada but that was probably 2008.
sullivanobrien_that’s got to be like 6”
isaacwrongUnless you are willing to poach some from a construction site you're either going to have to dish out some dough or drive a lil bit. 2hr's isn't really that bad, if a homie has a truck, grab some straps and toss in some gas money you're looking at $100 max. Maybe see if the seller is willing to drive it out but highly doubt it. Peep facebook marketplace too. Poached all my tubes pretty much, 10/10 would do it again
twinkle_toesCheck emco?
sullivanobrien_160$ pipe but then 200$ shipping i tried that a while ago
skiP.E.I.Well if you can't get 10", this width works well. My brothers and I learned many tricks on it over like 13 years and it's stillgoing. We've rebuilt the wooden frame probably 4 times.
isaacwrong^this...you can build two 8ft pvc rails out of some 2x4's for like under $60 if you already have some tools. you'll probably even progress quicker because you have to be more agile and percise on a narrower rail

plazaslushWhat could you possibly need a 10 foot pvc pipe for
Jemswho the fuck ships PVC find a local distributor they’re everywhere

sullivanobrien_i have a 10 foot pvc flat bar already but i want to also have a tube
sullivanobrien_i’m not canadian. closest one is montreal
twinkle_toesJust out of curiosity, why not use cast iron to build a rail ? It would be super heavy but better than pvc no?
Butterjb1also trying to find the same thing in LA, called home depot and the dude was so confused
HedgehogSteezeI'm quite confused you can go to home depot? It's like 50 prolly
SavageBiffJust go in , there are these giant white pvc pipes you can see from every corner of the store, plumbing section
You people get over the 50 prolly, it’s fucking probably first of all, and try $200 + unless your somehow grinding fin 1” sch30 pipe
https://www.grainger.com/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Pipe-22FR49
and that’s only 8” x 8’
