Ski hero slices his hand on final day of the season
Unlucky guys, just swapped skis with my buddy for a run on the final day of the year at my resort
Went for huge mute grab but the takeoff was bad and I held the grab way too long, also i was on my friends brand new fucking carving skis - ended up pinching my.thumb between the edge and snow :))

7 stitches, which could be worse. Didn't hit a nerve or anything major... but i nearly passed out at the bottom of the run. Kinda scary never happened to me before
Yep but they were spring gloves work no protection. Didn't really hurt that bad but it did feel sharp so i kept going and took my glove off and already saw blood all over my hand

TBH these are the "best" injuries. Get some glory scars and a good story without actually messing anything up too bad long term. (That said, stitches on a hand must be a pain in the ass with.)

I did this when I was 16, pre released in the transition from a groomer to a cat track, did like a slow rolling fall but just caught my hand on the edge of my ski and it cut right through
The worst part of a hand injury is the innability to write... second is jerking. I was about to suggest detuning the edges, but the guy was on carve skis

reminds me of when i tried snowboarding on a school ski trip then caught an edge riding away from a jump and hit my friend. his ski edge gave me a pretty deep hole in my arm but didn’t feel it until i felt the blood
I have a similar story, me and my friend were biking during the dummer all over town and decided to swap bikes cuz why not? We were bombing this huge hill and he was going so fast that the tire started to warp and eventually popped, he went over the handlebars and slid down probably 50ft and holy shit this was the worst road rash I have ever seen, from wrist to shoulder on his right arm and it was so deep that it was white, it didn’t even bleed. Shit was terrifying
I was probably 15 or 16 and was hitting an airbag jump in the summer. Did the same thing, went for a safety or something and slid my hand down the edge of my brand new TC's and just sliced my pinky open. luckily didn't need stitches but man at that point i realized how sharp new edges really are
