its crazy to think that maybe the person with the highest iq in history lived on some farm in what is now china 1000 yrs ago and never even knew anything of math or science or philosophy even though they had an iq that put in todays society would be enough to find a cure for cancer.

I remember talking to my brother that countries with huge pops like china, india, even the US dont need to worry about good education and social structures compared to say iceland or norway that have small populations. Basically if the country has enough people they're guaranteed to birth smart people that will succeed no matter what, but a country like iceland has to make sure they can educate everyone in the hope someone turns out to be smart enough to succeed at the same level.

Combine that with china having over 1 billion citizens and the number of genius level and higher iq ppl in china ends up being like 10 times as many as there are in the usa. Thats a consequence of shifting the bell curve to the right. The tails are more sensitive to frame shifts than the central part.
but chinas 103 avg iq is a good deal behind the national avg iq of s korea and japan which are 108. I personally believe chinas relative hamfistedness in engineering compared to the world leaders japan and south korea is a consequence of this iq gap, but theres probably other genetic mental factors going on besides G because chinese engineering is a fucking joke factory compared to its northern neighbors.
iq seems to correlate strongly with a countries engineering prowess. In europe for example, the best cars all come from the country with the highest national avg iq in europe; oh wow, what a fucking surprise... who wouldve thought....
but its so politically incorrect to talk about shit like this that the true euro iq statistics get buried by hundreds of shill pages and shill charts trying to prevent ppl from respecting/admiring/building pride for germany, which is a big no no according to the powers that be.
back on topic i think china will become a very prosperous country in one way or another just bc of the sheer amount of geniuses there. But i dont know if it will be thru engineering. Maybe it will be, idk. But it could be thru something else. Chinese people seem to on avg be insane at math, regardless of iq, so maybe they will start dominating the worlds stock exchanges at some point in the future. Who knows.
