weastcoastI hated riding skis in the park with metal in them cause I would stick on rails. So I decided to take it upon myself to make these brand new wets edgeless. Call me crazy but I pried the edge out underfoot, and blow torched the base to melt it and get the wrinkles out from tearing the edge out. Epoxied it back together and clamped the hell out of it and here we are. I think imma do this to every pair of park skis I get for now on.

WoFlowzI was more concerned with snow than rails cause rails will always have more friction than snow even without edges I’d think

Having edges in the ski in some spots while riding over things doesn’t matter as long as where ur feet contact while sliding ain’t got em.

weastcoastThis is correct and why I left some edge, even tho it’s a small contact area of maybe 12 inches it helps Me manage the hard stuff a little better.

DesertStixJust curious, I know epoxy is easy to come by but any reason you didn’t try abs like the meekus uses? Could be way off but I thought iggy was on here recently saying abs slides really well and holds up great. Could be a sick option for next time 🤷‍♂️

weastcoastThe epoxy isn’t in contact with the rail, the base is. It’s just holding the base together with the bottom of the sidewall and sealing everything off

certain rails get super sticky (especially flat bars) in snowy conditions and when they get a thin layer of frost on them. Really sticky. Any metal will catch and stick real bad but edgeless skis glide over it like it’s not even there
