kung_powpownail it to some 1/2" plywood. you'll also have to nail or screw the plywood sections together so they dont slide all ova the place

karsongreasegodDo you think that pallets would also work or no? Plywood is quite expensive right now
kung_powpowyeah it'd be fine, just more sketch if you need to make an emergency stop while coming in switch. could save some turf and gain bit of speed by cutting it to fit the tops of the pallets

karsongreasegodOk thank you very much, Can you help me decided between having the width of turf between 3 and 4 feet. Also my run up in total is around 35ish feet.
karsongreasegodOk thank you very much. I got a bit of snow yesterday and was able to make a jump and ski on it, I think that the width should probably be 4ft or do you recommend having the width be 3ft does it make a big difference. I don't think I would need to put wood underneath or should I probably do that. Here are some photos from where I would make the setup
asparagusI’d stick the turf on the grass then throw wood underneath it if it’s too slow. As for where to put the rail, I’d go just before you start to lose speed on the drop in so you can make it to the end of your rail easier.
ReturnToMonkeyWhat do you guys think about Msnow? We had some and I didn't think it was all that great. Tbf the setup was jank af. But i seem to see entire dry slope runs covered in it and people ski it fine.

karsongreasegodOk thank you I will do that. Much appreciated, should I go for 3 or 4 feet wide?

Lippamani1 go to the back 20 and cut some wood 2 haul it to your friends house cuz that's where you hang out.
3 steal your dads lag bolts cuz they big money's
And build
4 go to menards and buy some carpet 5 go into minneapolis and steal some natural gas line. Jk my dad has had it for years idk how.
karsongreasegodSo I am looking to build a summer setup for summer skiing, for my setup I would use turf for the drop in and everything. I have a natural elevation change in my yard and I think it would be a good place for the turf. Should I use stakes and stake the turf into the ground or should I try to put material underneath the turf such as a pallet?
