Summer set up- who’s rid one ?

Anyone who has built a summer set up or has rid down one - how wide is a good width for the drop ramp ?

im thinking either 4’, 5’, or 6’. I know obviously the wider the better but I’m really cramped on width space , so didn’t know if a 4’ or 5 would be too skinny to get on rail.


(only putting the rail like 1 foot off the ground)

only really needs to be wide enough for your skis to fit on. make the kicker part a little wider tho

Yeah mine is only like 2.5’ with the ramp at 3’

Depends whether you're trying to hit rails urban style on both sides or not. If you're hitting rails straight on it doesn't need to be wide, mine was around 3 feet. If you're gonna be dropping in switch 5-6 feet should be plenty. Not sure how wide you would make it if you're hitting rails urban style tho.

this is what 4 feet wide and 6 feet high looks like with a combanation of turf msnow and trex it works pretty well

Nice work ! So you find it beneficial to Alternate M snow on the drop in? Also are you building a ramp or are you going to just have it flat into the rail? I was wanting to start with just flat into the rail but didn’t know if that would work out well.

yes as long as you arent going super fast flat works pretty well and if you dont have the money to buy msnow they put on a contest every month to get 200$ or 100$ worth of msnow i did that last year and it worked out well
