Have any of you lived in boise?

I'm thinking of moving there in may or june and was wondering what the city is like. Hows skiing at bogus basin? What's the city like? Is it easy to meet people? Should I just move to SLC or Montana instead?

Spent some time there last summer and will be making the permanent move there later this year. Cool city for sure. Not sure about the resorts but theres some touring to befound into June not terribly far away. Find friends who are into paddle sports cause Idaho has some real fine rivers.

I've skied Bogus enough to know that drive up can be terrifying. Cool town though lots of hot college chicks.

I live in Eagle (right next to Boise) and it's pretty chill. lots of stuff to do downtown and bogus isn't half bad, but if you want some better snow but smaller mountain and park, you can just go to Tamarack instead, or if you're willing to drive even farther, Brundage has awesome snow. I'm not sure what housing is like downtown though. maybe check out somewhere around meridian/star/middleton for some cheaper living costs.

Boise is a great place, growing like crazy at the moment due to the cost of living and the access to the outdoors. The people are cool, has it goods and bads but more goods than bads at the time being. We sold our house that was there in Eagle and are kicking ourselves for selling instead of just renting it out.

my mom grew up there, my parents met and lived there for like 7 years, I was born there, and get back for at least 2 weeks every other summer cuz like my whole family lives there.

City is awesome, it has big city vibes but it really isn't overwhelming, definitely would reccomend finding a spot inside the city and bike/moto/scoot commuting or using transit, boise traffic is fucking wild especially coming into the city from 84.

Real easy to meet people, tons of young people around who are into skiing/hiking/biking and a fair amount of good nightlife

I've only skied bogus like one time that I can actually remember but ive always been told its pretty sweet, probably the best "big mountain" resort type skiing for how close it is to a major city aside from SLC. drive up is scary though. The lift access biking in the summer is bangin tho

Also Boise is only like 6 hours from hood so you really cant go wrong there.

Fun to visit. Would never live there. Too republican. And don't even think of having pot in that state. Sales tax is pretty whack and bogus is bogus.

I currently live in Boise and it's a nice town! Bogus isn't anything special but when it snows it can be pretty awesome. I go to BSU so I live pretty close to downtown so thats dope. If you're into mountain biking or fly fishing its a great town and has a lot to offer for a lot of outdoor activities
