i remember being at community college and there was a guy trying to become a cop there saying all he needed was a few classes then he could be a cop like bragging almost and was probably like the dumbest guy ive ever seen ngl. ppl who become cops are like their own class of ppl like theyre not relatable ppl.

I mean nothing new but your opinion is garbage, the only scenario in which a shooting is justified is if a suspect if a clear and obvious threat to the officer's life, period. Resisting arrest is not a death penalty offense last I checked.
And even if it were tbh, the suspect still deserves a fair trial, so even then the police wouldn't be justified in shooting them.

Let me use a rhetoric you'll understand: that's how the founding fathers intended our justice system to function, that's what the flag stands for! Why do you hate america and our institutions so much, if you don't like it you should move to North Korea!!!

However, in the case of Bernardo Palacios, I think that was fully justified since he presented a clear and obvious threat having dropped and picked up his gun multiple times while being pursued.

one thing I learned from a firearm-hunters safety course I took in 7th grade... there are no accidents with a firearm, anything "unintended" with a gun spurs from ignorance and irresponsibility, which is not an excuse for murder. if you cant tell the difference between a gun and a taser you absolutely should not carry either of them. a taser ways 8 fucking ounces while The average pistol weighs around 2. how the fuck can you mistake that. especially after 26 years on the force, this is clearly an intentional killing that this stupid bitch tried to cover up

I think it goes both ways. First off that cop should never been on the force. She messed up by getting in the other cops way trying to cuff the guy which gave him an opening to run then she somehow grabs her gun on accident and points it at him for like 30 seconds without realizing its not a yellow taser?

On the other hand, if your a cop and you pull a license or plate and a warrant shows up for illegal possession of a firearm and fleeing arrest then your going to be on edge. Then during the arrest the guy suddenly dashes into his car to potentially pull out a gun or other weapon it potentially makes the stop a lethal encounter either way. The dude was a gang banger and his social media is full of him flashing wads of cash and guns so its not like he was some innocent kid on his way to church.

So basically the dude put himself into a high risk situation and a shitty incompetent cop mishandled it and killed him.

I know that I am white, but I also know that I've had interactions with the police before. I got pulled over for a speeding ticket when I was speeding, I kept my hands on the wheel when the officer came by to tell me that I was going too fast, and I explained very methodically that I was getting my driver's license from my wallet and that I had no weapons in my vehicle whatsoever. He treated me with respect, and cut me a ticket for 10 MPH slower than I was actually going to save me money. If you treat people nicely, they will usually treat you nicely too.

Some cops are decent ppl but based on my exp and many of my friends exp about 50% of them are douchebags who love to exert their authority over decent civilians.
