Marker Squire opinions.

I recently bought a pair of 110mm Marker squire bindings to mount on a new pair of skis I bought, but after reading some comments about them, I'm starting to worry about their durability over the long haul, as I plan to use these skis and the bindings for a good long while, and want the bindings to last. I'm 6ft 3in, a confident intermediate, can handle most terrain quite comfortably, and I'm beginning to learn park. (I have no idea how much I weigh but I'm fairly skinny.) Should I mount them on the skis, or get a refund and buy something else?

I’ve used them for the last 2 seasons and have had 0 problems with them. I ride hard and often and they got beat up a lot in the park. They’re all scratched up but function perfectly fine. So personally I say the durability is pretty good, but mine might be an outlier.

Griffon minimum, or jester if your a heavier as well as tall ! no squire!

Squires are junk. Go for attack 13s. They are about the same price and some super high quality bindings.

Have to agree, if you gotta go with marker I wouldn't get squires. Otherwise, attacks are your best bet for a cheap freestyle binding

I always assumed squires were for extremely lightweight people or little kids. As a 6' 3" intermediate skier I would get griffons or atttacks. You can get attacks for dirt cheap

For me the durability wasnt too bad i used them for like a season and a half and they were fine. I just hated the bindings themselves like they release early or twist my foot from staying on. I got pivots and i like them alot better.

Get a refund. If you don't I got 50$ they last no longer than 15 days in the park especially at your height.

nobody should sell you squires as a 6'3 male, I was considering them for small gf, but went griffons

Squires are fucking horrible, the only situation where they work for people I’ve found is if they’re less than like 125 lbs and are short and don’t ski hard. Since you’re taller and I’m assuming much heavier the 11 din max will not cut it, especially on these bindings. I’ve seen them rip out of skis and completely blow up and break. If you want a similar binding look for attack 13s or even market griffons. Strongly don’t recommend squires.

It's not bad bad bad, but its made for small children that doesnt know what park is and petite females in white pants, they are quite happy.

I would only use those on rock skis, do not put those on nice new skis

I've broken 2 pairs of squires the past 2 years... go with the griffons and if youre really feeling it then get the jesters. But honestly I (personally) feel like marker has been passed by the other companies. Tons of more people riding on LOOK or Tyrollia these days.

Thanks very much for all the advice! I'm going to return or sell the squires and bag myself a nice pair of Tyrolia Attack 13 bindings. A ski shop near me has a sale on them now as it happens!

I really dont see what marker was trying to acomplish with making the squire. They marketed it as a freestlye binding but it breaks so easily even for little kids
