My friend is 6 foot 4 ~200lbs
He's been alpine skiing once, but has a lot of experience cross country skiing.
The first time he went skiing, I saw a ton of potential and I expect him to progress really quickly. He was making turns right away. A lot of times he was turning on blue trails and black trails, he would turn too much and it looked like he was a solid skiier already but his skis did not provide the stability he needed. The only thing he seemed to really struggle with was transitioning from turn to turn. Keep in mind all of this happened day one. Going to be learning on the East Coast mainly Vermont and New Hampshire.
What skis should I reccomend to him? (Money is not an issue not tryna break break 1800$ for skis bindings boots some ski pants)
I thought the Atomic Bent Chetler 100s or the Jeffrey 96s would be good. I want to make sure he has a ski that is easy to learn on while still being good once he can actually ski well.
