I made a really funny joke today and my mom didn’t laugh

So we were sitting on the deck drinking some coffee and watching the birds do their thing. My mom goes “my favorites are the cardinals and blue jays.” So I say “I’m more of a Yankees fan.” And she didn’t laugh. I was holding back wheeze laughs and tears.

It made me really sad.
