Why Full tilts

And it's almost like a meme around here. I literally delete simple posts that are "get Full Tilts" in any thread where someone is looking for actual serious help on boots. And the only valid answer is "bootfitter".

It’s not almost a meme it IS a meme 😂😂 OP the reason people say it is because back a few years ago (and still now but mostly a few years ago), almost every huge pro skier at the time rode them. Clayton Vila Cam Riley Harlaut Casabon Seth Morrison Tom Wallisch to name a few. It’s a meme because they market so well to kids who are like 14-18 who know 0 about boots, but want to ski like their favorite pros. So more often than not, kids would buy the boots and find out that they don’t fit well at all, because they bought them based purely on hype and marketing.

maybe one legit reason is the ability to change out the flex in the tongues? Could use soft for park and stiff if they know they are going to ski a lot of hill.


but either way I don’t have them. I went and tried them on at fitter and were wayyyy too tight around my heel for my feet. And I got 90 flex Nordicas.

Supposedly the design reduces shin bang (which in my personal experience is true).


But regardless get full tilts.

In my personal experience, I’ve always had a lot of problems with my feet. Though the years playing sports i could never get ski boots, (or even hockey skates, basketball shoes, running shoes, or snowboard boots for that matter) that i could wear comfortably and not be complaining. I have kind of an oddly shaped wide foot with high arches and a high instep so I’ve had lots of issues with cramps and blood flow in the past. Long story short, bought a pair of Full Tilt B&E’s at the beginning of the 19-20 season and after the break in period i can honestly say they’re the comfiest ski boots I've ever tried hands down. Absolutely no shin bang whatsoever, as well. This year i went out and bought a Ascendant for my 50/50 touring and report boot because i liked my B&E’s so much. I don't know if its a placebo or what, but i don't even feel the need to take undo my buckles on the lift or take my boots off for a lodge break. They have truly allowed me to ski and forget about my feet.

To me the bigger selling point would be access to replaceable parts like buckles and cables.

Crazy comfortable, easy to get on and off (this matters less), and, for me, they feel more natural and give the sensation that I'm really connected to my skis. The flex, specifically, feels more natural and intuitive. Durability of Descendant series is a bit questionable though. These are all personal opinions though. The best boot (for the most part) is the one that fits you best and is built for the type of skiing that you want to be doing.

for me a bought full tilts basically all of hype and friends telling me too but once I went to a bootfitter I realized that my foot was really different then what full tilts fit they definitely are REALLY COMFORTABLE if your foot fits so just go to a boot fitter and get measured up

I think for some people they work really well and have a kinda natural feel, the thing I don’t get is people who just go and buy them because they think they are cool before even getting a boot fit

They fit me well and are stupidly light. Only downside is I downsize my boots and crank them tight and I went through probably over a dozen cables in the past two seasons, they snap so easily

Product placement. They advretise having the best boots ever and have some top names on there team. Dont get me wrong there a good boot if they fit, and a solid company. Ive been in dropkicks this past season and oh my lord have my feet never felt better
