Anyone have any opinion (good or bad) on 21 Atomic Colt 10 Bindings for park binding???

Velcro bindings are pretty decent. I’m saving up for those and Vishnu’s to add to my quiver this upcoming season

What is the advantage of attacks and pivots ? Besides the higher din ?

They both have different varying din settings for both bindings. The attacks are just lighter than pivots, but they both do be lookin flashy tho.

So those atomics are 970g... i don’t know if that’s heavy or light. is it just basically weight and appearance?

Exactly. Also atomic bindings are basically the same as Salomon bindings. Tyrolia and Look actually make some quality bindings.

Don’t buy marker, they tend to blow out easily, Tyrolia attacks are more durable and light, and pivots are bore durable with cool features + dildo for a heel piece

Those are younger person/noob bindings for sure. Are you small and a total noob and have no possibility of skiing semi hard ever? If so they're fine.

If not just get a much better binding for like $20 more at max-- Tyrolia attack 13. Nice and plain and small and light, good performance reputation, surprisingly cheap, it's a no brainer

You want that elasticity. Pivots have probably the best heel elasticity, while I think salomon bindings have the most elasticity in the toe. Basically the boot has to move further to eject which lets you theoretically ride with a lower din and still not eject. Something with barely any elasticity will be more likely to eject from jolting forces which are often the times you often you don't want to eject (think hitting a bump going fast)

I don't know a ton about attacks but have heard they're decent. Newer markers could be good but my old jester pros would shred my boot, and the heel wore down so much that it would wobble, even with a new base plate. They also have a high stack height and relatively low elasticity. The bar across the pro toe piece was real nice for getting snow off your boot.

So something like the atomics don’t have a lateral release ? Or the attacks just do it better or reliable?

And so I understand.. When you say lateral release.. is that something that would release if you were trying to do say a 360 and you don’t fully rotate and your leg/ski get torqued to the side on the landing ?

I don’t think any binding but a kingpin and knee binding have any sort of lateral release but don’t quote me on that. Pretty sure non of the bindings that have been mentioned have a lateral release.

The pivots don’t have lateral release and neither do the attacks, people are memeing. No binding other than the Knee binding currently has lateral release. “Park bindings” don’t exist. Just go to a ski shop and speak to someone there, ignore weight and all that shit to start out. And don’t buy the shitty atomics you referenced either, if you get even ok at park skiing they’ll explode. If you can’t go to a shop, get a Look SPX 12 or a Tyrolia Attack 13.

Not a binding expert here, but I think most bindings have lateral release in the toe, just not the heel

Sorry I didn’t clarify but yeah that’s what I meant. My original post that he had responded to which I did was supposed to be a joke about how people say pivots have a lateral release in the heal.
