Many of us have broken too many skis/bindings to not have a few pairs of backups. Also it's nice to have a pair of skis that you don't use on rails to keep the edges razor sharp. It's amazing how long skis can last by simply not hitting rails on them.
This is what I do, only time I really take a hit is when I know if I don’t buy now i won’t get one, like the apostle ltd, got one this year finally, and the devastator in a 186, if you don’t buy right away your not getting a pair, some skis just sell out, but there are still tons of awesome skis to be had at discount

Same pair of marksman that I’ve skied the past two seasons on. Only have 2 edge cracks so far. And if those blow up I’ll have a fresh pair of marksman still in the plastic to mount up. I’ll have my 4frnt MSP 99s four touring and carving. I kinda want a smaller softer jib ski to mess around on and ride when coaching

Yeah K2 marksman. I’m interested in the mushroom reckoners cause their a bit softer. And would look dope with some kiwi Ps but can’t rly justify buying them. I might just try weighting the current pair of marksman once their more beat to see how they’d feel if they were softer.
I’ve got the 2017 armada jj zero 195 but will end up getting the new armada stranger this year as well as probably a whitewalker, and probably throw a bdog or so edollo in the mix for a park specific ski. Definitely wanna cop a magic J tho since I think this is the last season of it.

Holy shit I am so glad I bought the Magic Js when I did then. Have you heard anything about what might replace them?

I haven’t heard anything yet for certain but I would definitely lean towards the arv 116 UL becoming the new Tanner pro model since it’s the only ski he’s skied since it came out.

Didn't love the nomads last year and didn't want to destroy the SBH's on rails since I tour on them too and want them to last, so picked up the reckoners on a big sale. Got the black ops used (old demos), picking them up next week hopefully in decent shape. Stoked on this lineup

Was thinking the same thing. I actually have a set of STH2 13's but at this point they have 120+ days of skiing rails on them, gonna check them with a shop and if they're still rocking will prolly put them on the Blackops.

Woodsman 116's, I sometimes ski them all the time but my knees aren't stoked. Helluva ski.
Jeffery 108s....Ol' reliable. Never any bad days on those in any given condition
Woodsman 108s w/ Kingpins. For some reason I want to remount them with a pair of STH 2's I have so I can have a pretty wicked all-mountain directional ripper but I do like how lighter they are with markers.
Have you skied any skis from the same category as the woodsman you can compare it to? Been interested in those or a wren when a spot in my quiver opens up in the future.

You risk some midwest dirt skiing park rat saying you're not core.
But anyway. What I have settled on and have (for now)
Woodsman 102 (since I'm back to a resort where I can open it up a little more than I could at Timberline)
Jeffery 108 (Ol' reliable indeed, no bad days)
Jeffery 118 (Wider and longer than my 108 for when it's just a little deeper)
