I just took a look at their website and their skis don't look half bad, and they are super cheap. Like all of their skis are in the 200-500 range, with most of them being around 300~. I know they had issues with quality a year or so back, but I'm just wondering if anyone rides them because there isn't much information about how they ride out on the web.
They also sponsor a couple of the Carnage boys which means I'm gonna automatically like them

I can’t see that sudden rocker even helping the ski float that much. It’s a niche ski though. I feel like you could lock in a forever wheelie.
TheClap.This, I hade the whole live life life series to now which is now the outsider and the younger brother odyssey.
I have never had a problem with them, and it’s the only skis I ride. Quality has never been an issue for me.

Yessir. I actually have of frame bindings on them and have been touring with them. Besides being heavy as shit on the uphill they ski incredibly well. You have to put some muscle into them but their “sweet spot” is ridiculous, as long as you’re landing with your tips pointed down the hill, you’re gonna stomp. there’s no washing out.

I had a pair of new lifes back in the day with the kinky rocker. Never really noticed a difference in how they skiied compared to anything else.
Recently iv'e seen a lot of people on instagram riding em. They look sick and seem durable on what iv'e read up on them. Considering a pair as well for next season
I still have a pair of like 2012 or 13 Double Times that I got off someone on here. Gandalf I think? Anyway, they were beat to hell. Then I beat them even more. Lots of G Flex repairs. The most I can say about their performance now is that they still slide on snow lol.
I will say that they're a very fun ski. Super noodley tails.

My little brother and 2 of my friends bought surface's this winter and they all fell apart. Like the damage done after 2 seasons of hard riding on my armadas was about the same as half a season on the surface skis. Still better than other brands like line, 2 different friends bought the chronics and both had serious delam problems after 4 days of riding.
Only issue I've had is delam on my 2020 Give'rs. They improved on the newer models though. Other than that, really good skis for cheap. I got mine for $350 in the offseason. Would recommend

They fuckin rip. Carve like crazy and float really well too, and can demolish variable snow. And yes they can wheelie forever
Aight since everyone's asking about them, here's my two cents on the Outsiders after finally skiing them on a real mountain in half-half-decent conditions:
The rocker is actually ingenious because it allows the ski to be stiff but still (generally) butterable and """""playful"""". Also it allows the ski to be long but still handle like a short ski in tight spots. Finally, it makes it probably the only ski that skis well in any terrain at a center mount, which is definitely due to the rocker...in fact, I couldn't imagine mounting this back more than 1cm given the short effective edge.
I have no issue with carving if I turn at the long turn radius. In this case, it holds an edge really well and slices through any piles of soft snow on the piste. Otherwise the rocker makes it get deflected a lot and that sucks. You have to basically bomb groomers with this ski.
The Achilles heel of these skis is the swing weight. You have to size up (I ride 189s at 181cm tall) and if you're using the 189cm then it's one of the heaviest twintips on the market, like 2500+ grams per ski or something. I've seen people shred park and street with this (doing 2s and 4s out of rails and everything) and I have no clue how they do it. Ironically the 184 Odyssey is even heavier tho so idk if it's even worth it to go with that instead.
If I were to tweak these skis, I would a) taper the upturned sections a shit ton, b) make the upturned sections a bit flexier, c) make the upturned sections also a lighter construction, and maybe d) shorten it to like 185.

yeah this is pretty much spot on. it's awesome how stable these are when nose manualing. Just standing still I can balance on the shovels for like 5 seconds straight despite it being a really stiff ski. And the stiffness makes them fine on backseat landings despite such small effective edge. carving feels completely normal too. But in moguls and stuff you have to wrench them around bc of how damn heavy they are.
