WoFlowzMost likely the hole for the binding wasn’t drilled deep enough and it’s forcing the material downward. Not much you can do but it’s small enough I’d think you’d be fine. I’d it was a shop I’d taken to them and see what they can do maybe give you a refund for the mount or find a way to solve your problem
DolansLebensraumYeah. I dont think its going to cause problems. Its so small you cant even see it....DONT SAY IT.....
Do you think its worth trying to metal scrape or sand down the bump? Or is that just going to fuck up the base structure?
WoFlowzA base grind could potentially get ride of the slight bump. Idk if it’ll do enough to notice a difference tho
weastcoastI guess you could just keep your eye on it. My only guess would be screws being too long/ holes too deep/ binding plate malfunction (too thin/shallow so it lets the screw go in too deep)
DolansLebensraumI think woflows was on it when he said the holes werent drilled deep enough because the screws that come with a binding are going to be of millemetrically precise length i imagine. Im sure the jig the mounter used had the correct cutoff depth for the drill bit too but i think he just didnt drill all the way down or maybe left some sawdust in the hole before he bolted down the bindings.
also if the holes were too deep that would cause a recession in the ski base, not an elevation.

weastcoastMy dumbass actually drilled holes that were too deep before to where the bit gave the base a slight poke and I had to sand them down. But you’re right, if the hole was too deep but not too deep, I feel like a very slight recession might form over time
DolansLebensraumJust drilling the hole made the base pop out? Did you like press really hard on the drill?
DolansLebensraumthe idea that two adults cant make a fair legal transaction of some plant product is absurd.

PoikenzNot saying you are wrong on the drug thing, but, why can't two adults make a fair legal transaction of some elements? It's just absurd that I can't go out and freely buy plutonium, crazy.
DolansLebensraumi did enjoy your 80 iq analogy tho. Keep up the good work.
asparagus90% sure this is the case, there was a very clear gap in between the bindings and the ski before I had the shop remount it.
PoikenzAgain, you lack reading comprehension. I was making the point that your statement was idiotic and doesn't support your thoughts on the war on drugs by making a similar comment.
