Im a genius. My edges keep cracking and ripping out so what ill do is ill rip them out all the way then add a shit ton of epoxy. Boom first edgless magnus ever. Iggyskiier should probably hire me.
Also, i still dont understand why on3p cant lower their prices. Ive seen so many posts/comments about on3p edge fails that the whole mystique behind the super thick super detuned edges being indestructible seems like a busted myth.
i think at some point some ski mnfctrr is going to make a truly rail-proof indestructible ski. Only at that time would i consider spending 800$ on a set of skis.
if your shit is going to fall apart just as fast as framewalls then buy 2 sets of framewalls for the same price as one set of on3ps. You can keep one set for rails and one for everything else.

Yes, but framewalls are shitty looking 2x4s that nobody really wants to ski unless they're sponsored to ski them. Also interesting that you decided to shill for Head and not Volkl today, whats up?

I ride my skis hard as fuck. I think that theyre nice skis but not like totally indestructible. Also i would probabaly mever buy em full price. I got em off a buddy for 450$

Cause their customer service is good and they put money back into the community. Plus everyone Ik with them says they ski really fun. Just not the ski for me tbh. I totally think their prices are high but I can see why people would pay that

My friend had his binding rip out a few times on one ski and on3p sent him a new ski. I would say they treat their customers well and live up to the hype

If the framewalls are too stiff than u can ride caddies, mceachran and jesper can both drop 1800s on them so they cant be that bad.
volkl revolt 87s are still my ski of choice tho bc of the base and volkls respectable durability reviews. But head does the same thing as volkl and uses the same base on the FW and caddy that they use on their race skis, and i think if you avoid rails the durability will be very good.
also i dont know why you think FWs are ugly. The 2021s and 2020s which are still available look pretty sick imo. Im excited to see how durable the new thicker edges are on next yrs head oblivion 94.

Thats cool. Ive seen more than a few comments/posts here and there about on3p not replacing customers skis that fell apart in one way or another. Like if you detune like hell and you only hit smooth metal rails in the park and you still rip an edge the fuck out of the ski i think that should absolutely get a warranty replacement. Or at worst charge the consumer a small fee to get their broken ski replaced.

If it's something that can be classified as user error they of course are not going to cover. It'd just be Revision all over again if companies replaced skis due to damage from park features whether they're just jumps or metal rails you as the skier are making that decision to cause potential damage to skis. And as we all know the Revision business model does not work. You break it you buy it as simple as that.
Just because you detuned the ski that doesn't mean that the rail that you're hitting doesn't have imperfections too.

I agree like i wish i got a new ski but buisness wise it makes no sense cause with park basically all skis have some sorta edge break so it would be like handing out a basically new ski every year
Totally derailing a thread to tell us how great frame walls and revolt 87’s are. Sounds exactly like something you would do lmfao

What if a skier ripped out an edge in one of his skis and the ski maker charged him parts+labor of pressing a replacement ski, so that it cost the ski company nothing? Would that model work?

That makes no sense at all and would be extremely inefficient and probably cost more than pressing a pair of skis. The whole point of a production line is to produce the same stuff over and over again (to avoid adjusting costs of machines etc) hence producing single skis for people would just not be worth it.
Also towards your earlier point, about why ON3P is better than the rest. I am 196cm tall and 90kg heavy, and prior to switching all my quiver to ON3Ps I skied many different brands. The main reason for changing to ON3P was not thicker edges or base but rather overall build quality. I had 3 pairs of edollos and on the last two the skis delamed under the binding within 7 and 9 days of skiing them respectively, then I got K2 poachers they delamed after just 3 days, Bent Chetlers after about 20 and arv 96 held up for about 5 days. All my ON3Ps K108 (3 seasons), K116 (2 seasons), Mag 90s (3 seasons) and Goats (3 seasons) are still good and not one of them delamed (mounted by the same tech with the same P18s as the other skis) so yes edges crack on all skis but the overall build quality is why ON3Ps go for $700+ while the big brands go for 450 or even less.
Of course this may just be my experience but I ski my skis really hard and due to my hight/weight have a lot of leverage on the binding area apparently and so far ON3Ps are the only skis I've been on (besides pre-2015 Armadas) that didn't fail under the binding (heel) after a couple days of riding.

Replacement skis? What world do you live in where they sell single skis from the factory?
This was tried way back in the day when atomic sold you three park skis called the triplets.....and do they sell them anymore? big nope
Would it be nice to have the ability to buy replacements? Of course, but in the long run that just isn't as cost effective as just pressing and selling skis as a pair.
