That’s how it was back in my day, half pipe full of snowboarders to pass by at the end of the park, park full of boarders and rails, not much of a jump line literally made me feel out of place, the long straight skis didn’t help either, nowadays however skiing got boarding beat hands down, features everywhere, jump lines and the ability to take off, land and ski switch, the mix of skiing styles from dads that rip to the new school wave, the progression of tricks has made skiing waaay more interesting to watch than it was 30 years ago
NotaskibumBack in the day before half of yall were even born, i had to sneak into the terrain parks, boarding was the "Cool" thing and it seemed like skiing was on the decline.
But in recent years it seems like there's fewer and fewer snowboarders on the hill and especially in the park. Three kings lift at PC seems like a 4:1 ski to board ratio and none of the boarders are really throwing down. I never see boarders really ripping the big mountain stuff these days at snowbird either.
Am I crazy or is it just utah?
