jompcockPrint some bindings. Used a fixed din with an active flexing toe and heel, use more material for a higher din. Might only work with a filament like nylon or polycarbonate (Try at own risk, don't sue me, I take no responsibility for this obviously bad idea)
Print pole grips out of TPU
Print a brake retainer for waxing/tuning (I use a rubber band/screwdriver/paracord so maybe this idea is also pointless)
ThegenericskierI guess for the binding you would only pop out when the binding breaks.
really like the tpu pole grips. I’ll try it soon
Brake retaining sounds good too. I will try it too
jompcockWould be hard to make a heel release that you can click out of, but you could use engineered flex. I'm nowhere near confident enough in my CAD abilities to make something I'd trust to actually ski, but maybe I'll try making something to test on a bench.
For grips, I thought it would be cool to have some kind of storage inside the pole for a screwdriver, doob etc, but it would be hard to have a pole strap integrate well. Maybe cut the strap hole bigger and use some kind of hollow threaded rod could clamp the strap down with space for storage.
If you're into biking, you can print a chain wear indicator so you don't have to spend money on a metal one. Would also like to see a 3d printed quad lock alternative.

ThegenericskierAlso what CAD software do you use?
jompcockUsed to make basic stuff with tinkercad cause it worked on my potato of a computer but now I'm learning fusion 360. Most of my friends use solidworks but I get fusion for free through my school so I just went with that.
