Back around Christmas I fucked up the cartilage around my knee cap shit still hurts sometimes doc just said it’s an over use thing and to do some pt then go back to skiing

Its especially prevalent now after I got surgery but it's hard to tell what is a real knee issue and what is just scar tissue/ normal pain. Whenever I smoke i start kneading my knees and get all paranoid i fucked another ligament up or something is off. Is knee pain just going to been with me forever now idk

I tore something on a junp at Northstar two years ago. Knee has been wobblesauce ever since. Can wall alright usually can generally ride okay with a brace but it just kinda sucks.

im so stoked, visited the doc today and found out I have Osgood-Schlatter disease, basically a super common condition and since Ima super active kid its not unexpected, I've also grown like 6 inches in a year so my quads aren't very big which caused it. stoked that I'm still allowed to ski and won't be causing any damage to my knees.

Get stronger, muscles absorb energy that won't be strain on ligaments. Lifting and stretching will go a long way.

Yeah, it is unfortunate that we can send folks to the moon, blow up the world who knows how many times over, but it is impossible to figure out a reasonable health care system that provides everyone with coverage.

I think its easier to get your hands on a nuclear weapon these days than find legit percs or vics even the 5 mgs.

Asshole doctors get everyone hooked and then make it impossible to get pills so people end up doing fent and dying from bad batches.

I ran 7 miles today without stopping wasn't gassed at the end and I'm not sore either. Gonna ski hard tomorrow and maybe stay over for pow Monday. After that I will only run 9 miles min since I wanna do a marathon. Not going any further than that its not good for your joints and I don't want to be waiting a week to recover.

Ive had pattelar tendentious since last season. Excersized the damaged tendons or whatever they were and have felt pretty good this year until I was cleaning my bathroom and kneeled down to grab paper towel

I always tend to form close relationships with my doctors and in turn they have been dr feelgoods so I basically had free range over what I wanted and was getting ( I had a Russian doctor give me a script for Somas and she had no clue what it really even was). So I get all the good stuff basically only bcuz I’ve been prescribed them for the past 8 years. But try to go to a random GP now and ask for a script of Xanax and see what happens. Noooo way

My knees and hips hurt when the weather changes (spring/fall) or when it's in the negative temps. My husband just had his right ACL replaced for the second time in a year. I never had my knee fixed from multiple blow ups while skiing in my late teens/early twenties, so now at 35, I feel all of the things. Damn knees.

I had a pychopharm give me ton of xanax when I was 18 really helped being able to sell those.

People I know have had their scripts cut in half for adderall.

I just want 50 or so 5mg oxcodone per week.

last time I tried getting painkillers was in undergrad and I got in an argument with the doctor and basically someone from the dean of students office told me I was not welcome at the university health center anymore lol

Been struggling with this for many years now. Recently got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in both my knees. I started working with a great rheumatologist and started a new regiment of prescriptions and homeopathic treatments. My goal these days is just to get out there and ski for an hour or two. I will never be able to ski like I used to, but being out there is still worth it. Don't get old kids and all those flat urban landings will catch up to you one day.
