Hey everyone,
I have a bad habit of wrecking skis unintentionally - usually due to below-surface rocks because of my weight/skiing style.
I 24yo, am 6'4" and 215-245lbs with a very advanced skiing ability (raced, did park, do big mountain). I want your input on which brands/skis you think I should rock this next season.
I've blown up 2017 solomons last year, and 2019 Scott punisher 186cm 105mm underfoot's this year and i can't help but think there is something more/less indestructible for me out there (however my backup pair - THall Armadas 176cm 89w - have held up great for 8 years). The damage has been mostly core shots and sidewall/edge blowouts. I'm looking for a 100+ width ski that lets me do super G/ downhill turns with my ass to the corduroy, as well as lets me have a decent amount of play for high-bowl turns.
ON3P was a brand recommended to me, as well as Shaggy's (small local vendor), K2, and Icelantic. Kind of leaning towards ON3P/Icelantics. ON3P because of the user reviews, and Icelantics because of the thickness of the ski.
Please let me know your recommendations via comment and poll, and why you think so.
Is there any hope for me? or will i just churn through skis every season until i'm an old man?
