Waist width whats up with that?

I ride a pair of catermarans that are 118 or something like that, and all I’ll say is you surf on everything

Read the blisterreview. 118 is kind of wide for a daily and the 108 is reallyyyyyy light for an in bounds only ski.

Ill be using them probably 50/50 resort/touring im doing some adventure tourism stuff in school so ill be doing lots of out of bounds stuff. When you say “reallyyyyyy light for an in bounds only ski” do you mean that in a good way?

I would go 108 for the versatility since you want a 50/50 ski. You are going to love Golden, so much amazing terrain and not as busy since it gets overshadowed by Revy.

It gets knocked around a bit in bounds cause its so light, but a freaking dream to tour on. Also feels wildly cool in the air.

I would say the vision 108 because it will be more versatile, @dylansiggers might have some input

It really depends how long the tours your going on are going to be and what binding you are putting on them.

I’ve spent time on both skis in a 183. For inbounds use I would probably choose the 118 almost every day, its a little stiffer and a decent amount heavier, but still light. I found it dealt with variable snow a lot better than the 108. I have my 118s mounted with cast and would recommend a similar set up with duke pt/ cast/ shifts for relatively short tours, maybe up to like 3000 feet of elevation gain.

The 108 is extremely light and also pretty soft in the tips and tails, this helps it float really well for a 108 waist but I find it doesnt do that great when the snow gets choppy, granted for its weight it does very well, but for inbounds skiing I prefer to have a few hundred grams of added weight. I have a set of dynafits on a pair of these that I used for touring the last couple years, absolutely a dream touring ski, super fun, super light, extremely versatile.

BC gets a whole lotta snow, even on a bad year. I think between your kartel 96s and the vision 118 you would have all your bases covered. The 108 wouldn’t be as much of a difference from the 96s as you think.
