FWT verbier stoke

Idk how everyone feels about the FWT but I just finished watching the verbier comp and holy shit did everybody throw down. The scoring was a little weird but it seemed like everybody was just having a good time hyping each other up.

I really liked the comment the one dude made about catching your balance in the fall line when you're out of control rather than making a turn. Never really thought about that

I can only apologise on behalf of english people about that guy, everything was a "little" drop or some bullshit. We need someone like Rob Warner who does the downhill commentating, going crazy with stoke.

Felt kinda weird how Kristofer won after Redbull did a whole series about his "road to verbier" and him winning on the Bec. Not saying he didnt throw down, but it's just weird.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. On a side note, why does downhill have so many great commentators, while it feels like every other sport lacks in that department?

there was an austrian guy a few years ago who was decent, martin mcfly winkler. but yeah they all just seem to repeat the same sayings from each stop.

Ross got dicked by the judging system, as did Aymar. The judging pretty heavily favors the euros IMHO, and it really kills a run score to not have a trick in there...Aymar is old school freeride. Ross missed the 3 up top and that is what put him behind Wadek, but His backflip was far more consequential and gnarly IMO, but the judging has to encourage control and consistency otherwise people would be dead at every event. It was a pleasure to watch everyone step up to such a gnarly face, and to even put down a run is fucking buck. its hard to be a judge when everyone kills it, and you are really splitting hairs
