What to do in SLC and what resorts?

Went to SLC when i was a total gaper, thought Brighton was super rad and had some good night skiing. Theres probably some better shops in town but i checked out Skitrucks and thought it was a decent place to look around

I would do Brighton night skiing (hands down) and 1 day at Snowbird/Alta... depending on what you like. You can find some stuff to do around the city but with the virus there is a lot of stuff that isn’t open... if you are looking for a good place to eat tho- try out spitz

its been dumping the past few days, def should go to alta / snowbird. Solitude / Brighton are fine, depends on what you are after.

Just got back from a trip to slc to ski. We skied Brighton and snowbird which I would definitely recommend. If you like skiing park, a session at Woodward would be worth looking into imo

d4coloradoGoing to SLC this week and wanted anyone’s opinion on best resorts to visit and fun things to do in SLC. I’ve got Ikon Pass and leaning towards Solitude and Alta and some night skiing at Park City. Also wondering if there’s any good spots or shops in SLC that people suggest checking out like good food or second hand ski thrift shops or just cool places in general? Thanks.

Alta / Snowbird are by far the best mtns in Utah (and in the country) and I've been skiing Utah ski mountains for over 15 years (I've skied Deer Valley, Park City, Canyons, Solitude, Brighton, Snow Basin, Alta and Snowbird) as well as mountains in Colorado (Telluride, Vail, Beaver Creek). They get double the amount of snowfall of every other resort in Utah consistently each year and the terrain and Alta/Snowbird is unmatched. For every inch of snow you'll get from a storm at Deer Valley/PC/Canyons, you'll get 2-3 inches at Alta/Snowbird since the elevation is higher and its in a narrow canyon that traps the clouds, letting it dump for much longer. You'll get the best snow, cliffs, chutes, backcountry, hikes of any mountain I've ever been to. Woke up at 5:30 am to ski Alta today and had 12 inches of fresh, untouched powder almost all day. Live at PC so I have the epic pass to ski PC and Canyons, but paying $162 for the day at Alta was so worth it.

I’d go solitude/Brighton on weekends and Alta/bird midweek. Sundance is kinda chill to check out and I got a homie that works there so it’s fun to hit sometimes. Honestly wasn’t a huge fan of PC/Canyons but that’s just my personal opinion. I know a lot of dudes that love it, but the vibe just rubs me the wrong way for whatever reason.

Sundance is alright if you enjoy the views and slower lifts... other than that, for the price: I would stick to Brighton
