ON3P ski advice

Hey fellas, so I’m torn between skis. I have the Nordica Soulrider 97s right now and love them but the rails killed them quick. I love how they rip in the park and all mountain but am needing something more durable and I’m pretty set on some on3ps. I love the look of the Magnus 102s and think they might be a good fit considering I ski 70% park and 30% all mountain but worry about their all mountain performance compared to the Jefferys. Ideally i’d just get the magnus but without the park detune but looks like the only ones left this season are the detuned ones but I’ve also heard that if I ski rails a lot, the detune it better anyways. I’m really just looking for a do it all ski for Colorado that will shine in the park. I mainly ski rails, jumps and trees and am 6’ 3” 180. Any advice would be sweet

Bro I’m in your same situation. I just had the Jeffrey 96 come to my house from someone on here and the shape of them are definitely more all mountain shape. The early riser rises more in the tip than the tail and you can but a dead center mount would not go well with the skis. With that said I sold them and got some used magnus and i think I’m going to be very happy with them. But if you don’t really care about being dead center I’ve heard that the jeffreys absolutely shred up everything.

Just get the Jeffrey. It is plenty park capable (it was the wide park option for years until we introduced the Magnus 102). Mount +2 of recommended if you want them more park-oriented. Most of the factory still rides the Jeffrey as their spring Hood park/all mountain option - so pretty inline with what you are looking for.

You know you can do that yourself right? ON3P just does it because little park kids aren't smart enough to do it and then come cry on the forums wondering why they have edge cracks from slamming rails.

on3p detune is far better then any one you do yourself tho

It doesn’t take some crazy machinery...you literally just have to have a couple of tools.

i went to town with my brothers skis with a metal file and got a perfectly good edge there but not super rou d

I mean my magnus 90s were perfect for a do it all in Colorado and I only took like 5 park runs total because I wanted to ski real terrain because all I do is park here at home. I only wanted a little wider when I found some powder stashes like thigh deep I got stuck in but other than that they were great. 102s would help for that I’m sure

The Jeffrey 108 is my daily for park. I don't like soft skis for butters and park (hinge points are whack IMO). They rip everywhere else just as good. The camber profile takes a few times to get used to but they carve pretty well with their flex and rocker profile. Most definitely recommend that you don't mount them at ski center. I tried them for a season at this mount and it was fun to get out on the noses but once I moved the mount back 2cm from center they're much easier to lay into a carve without sacrificing any park performance. Plus a ski that is a full sidewall really holds up to the abuse. I'm on my second season with mine and they'll likely last me into mid next season as well. Great ski that is worth every penny.
