Fuck yeah, we’re finally here. Drive to survive season 3. I’ve been to 5 races and I love DtS because it’s gotten so many people I know into f1.
Where all my f1 homies at?

ASAPJackBeyond hyped on f1 rn. So glad I found this sport through dts
Super exited to see sainz at Ferrari this year. He’s amazingly consistent. Redbull will keep a lot more pressure on Merc this year. Rosberg was a better driver than Hamilton. Btw in my opinion, Hamilton totally had the opurtunity to give albon more room in Austria. Yuki will have a good season, as he was strong in pre-season testing (yes I know abt the drs thing). George Russel will score points this yr. Lando seems a lot more serious and will put more pressure on Danny than people will expect. I used to think Lance was only a pay driver but he has made his place in my opinion (Turkish gp) and is very strong in the wet. Lawrence Stroll is a very scary man. Bottas is too submissive to Hamilton.
Super great season of drive to survive. I’m surprised they didn’t include George’s drive for Mercedes, but Gasly at Monza was incredible. Sometimes annoying with chronological order of events but it’s such a good show.
Predictions for the constructors:
Merc, Redbull, McLaren, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Alpine, Alfa Romeo, Alpha Tuari, Williams, Haas.
Haas continues to be on the decline to complete disaster. Who is you fav driver op? Absolutely awesome you have been to some races. I watched dts this summer and have been hooked ever since. Never been a passionate fan about a sport like this before.
ReturnToMonkeyEspecially lately with the actual sport getting a little stale, I think it's the unsung hero of retaining fans.
BradFiAusNzCoCaSainz will be super interesting to watch. He isn’t always the fastest but I’m sure it will be interesting, nonetheless. That reminded me of Alonso coming back. I’m so not excited about that. He always irritated me. He just can’t help but just bitch and moan and complain about everything. He really sucks the life out of a team. Plus, I always thought he was pretty overrated.
We will see about Red Bull and Merc. Merc is known for sandbagging in the beginning to trick everyone else.
Yeah, I think Hamilton could have given Albon more room. Normally, I’d say that’s the cost of doing business but what makes it really sad is that that could have been Albon’s only chance EVER to get a podium.
Im convinced that Danny’s string of drivetrain issues are due to A) how he has the engineers set up his car or B) he’s too hard on the cars.
I thought stroll was a shit pay driver until a few years ago. He had a good race (I think it was Canada in like 2017 or something - I can’t remember). That’s when I realized he can race when he wants to. Yes, Bottas is way too submissive but I think Merc probably had a very serious conversation with him before signing. It was just so toxic for them with nico and Lewis. I actually liked Nico better than Lewis. He can be kinda cringe but all the hate is not deserved. He lost to Lewis in 2014 because he had drivetrain issues at the last race. He could have been 2014 WDC. He’s also the only teammate to beat Lewis for a WDC. So for people to say he isn’t up to Lewis’ level is just not accurate.
It’s going to sound cliche but I guess my favorite driver is Räikkonnen. I love his attitude towards racing and he’s FAST even in slow cars. Also, he won the first race I ever watched live (Australia 2013) and I saw him win live the next race he won (Austin 2018 - 5 year gap in winning!). That was the year I started dating my now wife and she is from Finland. So it just made sense ha
I hated him when he first arrived, but I like Verstappen too. He’s just fun to watch. You know he’s going balls to the wall every race.
Leclerc is good too but he’s hit or miss. I always secretly cheer for Bottas to beat Hamilton. Hamilton is amazing, you can’t deny that, but it’s getting boring. I was at the race when he won his 3rd title (Austin 2015) and it was like “wow he’s tied with senna” and it was really cool. 4 titles later and it’s a snoozefest.
Who's your favorite driver?
F1 is extremely addictive. Welcome to the club!
ReturnToMonkeyDoes anyone know if there's a free reliable stream to F1 races this year? Not having cable kinda sucks for sports
BradFiAusNzCoCaYou got vpn?
ReturnToMonkeyI can
ASAPJackLawrence Stroll is a very scary man.
chills__This man is terrifying
SessionDTS I think made him out to be a villain for the sake of it. They are really good at painting of a picture of some people in the paddock.
They certainly did not do Max Verstappen any favors.
I'm psyched on the season. Hoping to see Red Bull fight Mercedes. It sounds like this years car is much more manageable than last years, and the Merc looked nervous in testing.
I just wonder how Alex Albon would have done in this years car as opposed to the one from last year that took a prodigy like Max Verstappen to make look semi-good.
3mania1 Hamilton
2 Verstappen
3 Bottas
New season same old shit... I 've watched F1 since the 80's but this shit is beyond boring.
ASAPJackThis break is killing me. @BradFiAusNzCoCa what are your podium predictions for Imola
BradFiAusNzCoCaA little late to this but Imola was a pretty loopy race. What were everyone’s thoughts?
My personal highlight was Williams overtaking Bottas and crashing. Wtf was that? Lol

LonelyAnd then he got mad at Bottas like Bottas was at fault. Only so a short clip, but it definitely didn't look like Bottas was at fault
.MASSHOLE.Toto could not have been pleased with that....
The race showed us two things.
1st. Hamilton has to be one of the luckiest drivers out there. That red flag could not have come at a better time.
2nd. Hamilton has to be one of the best drivers of all time (not that we didn't know this already). The fact he managed to move from 8th(I think) to 2nd when Bottas could hardly do anything in a similar position goes to show you the skill he has. Sure, the car helps, but Hamilton is just another level of driver relative to the rest of the field (save Verstappen).
Also, really hoping McClaren can get a few podiums this year. Really like Norris and Riccardo.
ASAPJackNorris is such a beast. To me, he helped proved himself today.
Russell/bottas crash definitely has lot more tension than it just being a normal tangle up as Russel looking to make a move into his seat.
Big props to Max for the win. Title fight this year? If Redbull are going to try and beat Mercedes in the constructors they cant have Perez dropping from the front row into p11

BradFiAusNzCoCaI know. That was so clearly Russell 100%. I kinda feel for Russell. He MUST be trying to get another contract. He’s a really good driver and he had like wtf unbelievably bad luck when he drove Hamilton’s car. At the risk of sounding conspiratorial, is there anyway Mercedes/Hamilton didn’t want him to win? Because then everyone would just say “oh it’s just the car. Ham isn’t that good”
Hamilton does get amazing luck but I’ve also seen him have spectacular jumps through the midfield. Think it was Hungary a few years ago when he started in pit lane and finished 3rd. Crazy drive. He’s just so good.
Im hoping ricciardo will finally live up to his potential again but Norris is pretty damn good. I do believe Norris is the #1 in mclaren
Oh yeah. Part of me wonders if Russell only stays at Williams because he is in the merc program and hoping he will get pulled up. It’s gotta be frustrating for him.
I hope Red Bull can bring the title fight but I’d much rather see like McLaren win it because Red Bull was dominant before mercedes so 😴
It’s funny, I started as a Merc fan in 2013. Now I’m so over Merc winning.
LonelyI really hate how everyone talks about norris all the god damn time
BradFiAusNzCoCaIt’s pretty apparent McLaren has made him their #1 driver
BradFiAusNzCoCaI really hope this season isn’t just going to be Ham-Ver-Bot but I’m getting the feeling that’s exactly what it’s gonna be
SessionRed Bull.
LET'S FUCKING GO!
Checo would have at Bottas's lunch if it weren't for that slow pit stop. Max stopping before the finish line to do burn outs was a boss move.

Glad to see Lando up there too!
chills__What does everyone think of the sprint qualy for this weekend?
BradFiAusNzCoCaLiterally no idea how it’s going to turn out or if it’ll make f1 anymore interesting. I have a feeling it’ll cause a ton of controversy if it doesn’t go Red Bull’s way (they’ve always been the F1 diva team - Christian Horner complains about everything). Ferrari would complain too but they’re not good enough this year.
daannnnieelwhatever mercedes did is working. hopefully see some good battles between Lewis and Max this weekend.

SessionI almost feel like it was more a case of Red Bull losing something. Lewis was 7/10ths down in practice, and Max was planted. However during sprint quali Max was complaining about a ton over understeer. But it was super close.
I'm currently not feeling the format.
F2 Sprint race 2 just ended, so F1 Sprint is coming up. I guess I'll report back after. That being said I find the F2 format super confusing, but necessary to get all those young drivers experience. I feel like F1 being the pinnacle should be more straight forward.
GhiniWell, first lap of the sprint race was a good battle :)
I think we need more testing of this format, not sure at the moment if I like it or not. I do not like that top 3 get extra points in sprint race, only makes the gap to the top bigger, we dont need that. I do like that some riders can gain some places.
BradFiAusNzCoCaLook at Ham pulling a “Senna on Prost Suzuka 90” on Max.
Also that overtake with Leclerc - LAME. Leclerc is a great fighter and defender. Was excited when he started defending. Shame he went wide and hit the dirty shit. Pretty tired of Hamilton winning. I was a diehard merc fan in 2013. Guess why I am not now.
SessionMax definitely did not turn in on him. Lewis was far from being alongside, and Max was on the apex of the turn. A 10 second penalty was a fucking joke.
