Twin tip sizing question

If you choose to get something with lots of rocker (think iconic ON3P ski shape), go a bit longer. Less surface area of the total length actually even touches the snow.
If you choose to get something traditionally cambered or whatever that's called, stay in the lower 170s.

You're like 15 pounds lighter than me, and two inches shorter, I ride 174 cm skis. Some people will say that is too short, some will say it is the right size. Hopefully that helps.

You can also learn the 180 right now. Jump up and use your hips to spin the rotation. Tuck your legs up as high as you can, imagining heavy boots and skis and bindings and pants weighing you down. That's, arguably the hardest way to do a 180, and you can probably already do it. With speed, and a lip that will hand you the air and clearance necessary to not tuck your legs, a 180 will be easy.

I feel like mid 170s is gonna be perfect for you. I'm 5'11'' and ride a 181 ON3P Jeffrey. Ski is like a centimeter taller than me, but hella tip and tail rocker so shorter effective edge (ski in contact with snow). Most twin tips won't be that rockered. Unless you're charging hard hard (you say you're a beginner so I assume you aren't) then I def wouldn't go above 180. You won't need that extra length for stability if you're not going in

I'm a beginner skier and I'm a bit confused about the sizing for twin tip skis.
Basically, this was my first season and I did it with some cheap second-hand all-mountain skis but I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of twin tips for the next one.
I measure 5'9 (175 cm) at 145 pounds and I see a lot of options for which the sizing goes from around 168-172 to 178-182 as my height is around the middle I was wondering if I'm better on the shorter or on the larger side.

I'm more looking into an all-mountain twin-tip rather than a park ski as I have not done any park actually but I enjoy playing around small jumps, cliffs, and tree sections on the side of the runs plus I have started to try to ride switch as I want to learn 180's and on in the future.

It's not just length. It's how stiff they are too.
I ski some 146's, and she says that's plenty long because they are stiff as all get out!

Not like anyone cares, but I can charge over 60 mph on those 146's. Light as a feather! Stiff as a 2x4 made of hardwood oak!

My husband has the k2 reckoner 102s for just that and says it's the best ski he's ever skied. Rips around the mountain but can still take it in the park. Stiff enough under foot but has some play in the nose and tail.

Curious what you settle on, regardless you'll have a great time on them I'm sure.

I definitely recommend the J skis Allplay or Hot Shot because those are great all mountain skis. I'm about your height and weight and I ride the Allplay in size 164 so I can go through park if I want to. I would definitely recommend you start in the high 160's to mid 170's tho.
